Description
Watched some classics while in bed with flu last days, there's so much to learn from old movies about human emotions and the art of making films with people, not ..100 cars blowing up.

Nothing too complicated, still having a bad headache and runny nose @_@;

This is a very nice stamp, and it's cool the way you gave it that grainy effect. The words are very legible, and the overall design is creative. Thank you for making it.

"...about human emotions and the art of making films with people, not ..100 cars blowing up."  Yes. That is certainly the kind of movie I prefer. I'm very unlikely to invest myself in a movie that focuses primarily on action, and not enough on character development.

There are so many wonderful oldies. It's actually kind of sad that more people don't watch them nowadays. I think it would be fantastic if someone created new trailers for them to better appeal to the modern day audience. The old trailers for the movies were cutting edge at the time, but I think they were a structured a bit more like commercials featuring a product. Announcer speaking aloud to the viewer: "It's the most magnificent movie you've ever seen! With the most amazing actors! And the most amazing writers!..." It kind of sounds like he's trying to sell a car.

Nowadays a trailer tends to be more focused on giving you an idea as to the feel of a film, what the story is about, and who the characters in it are with minimal announcing. They want to show you what they've created, and not spend as much time telling you all about how 'great' it is... although they usually do flash a few words across the screen about there being academy award winning actors in it or something, but it's better timed and often something you read instead of hear. I just think that if they presented the films more like that it would make it easier for the modern audiences to see the merit and entertainment value of an old movie.

I spent a huge chunk of my childhood without cable and sis and I watched nothing but Classic films and shorts. We are now film snobs!

Everyone should watch the classics!

They really don't make 'em like they used to. You see a few good ones nowadays, but when you watch movies like Casablanca and Sunset Boulevard, movies that are built around good dialogue and writing rather than mindless action, you realize how far we've fallen from the purer form.

I'm using this stamp!

Some favorite classic movies of mine:

The "Road To" series with Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour (Road to Bali, Road to Rio, Road to Morocco, etc)

Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein

White Christmas

Holiday Inn

Dracula (with Bela Lugosi)

That's just a handful of them; classic movies are awesome.
