I want to try doing more full illustrations like this in the next year, but they take much longer aaaaaI've been having loads of ideas lately since my antidepressants started actually working! but now I have so many ideas and not enough time to draw them all oops, gonna try arting faster in the new year if I can manage

They really are! Have you ever seen/smelled one in person? I was extremely fortunate to be able to, the University that I went to has one in their greenhouse. It smelled very eggy and sulfur like. I ended up googling flowers that smell bad and there are so many! By far the two biggest are this one aka Titan Arum for short, the other and my absolute favorite is called the stinking corpse lily (rafflesia arnoldii)

o wow, that's really lucky! I heard it takes them a very long time to bloom and you only have a short window of time to really see them at their peak. is the smell really as strong as people say? or did you only really smell it from up close? o:
I have never seen nor smelled one, but I would really love to if I can ever find a place where they would have them. and omg I know of the stinking corpse lily one, I remember when I was super young I learned about them through this "world discovery" type of game hahaha

Yeah they do, they guess it blooms once every 10 years or so, and it only blooms for like 24 hrs. It did smell pretty bad yeah. It seemed to smell worse the farther away you were oddly enough. The closer you get the smell decreases, or either you just start going nose blind lol.
