Thanks! Micron pens (multiple sizes), ballpoint pen, and acrylics. And yeah, I always put some kind of opaque base coat/layer on.

Thanks! Yes, I normally start with an opaque base of some sort (so heavy white/black usually).

Your style is absolutely awe inspiring! So distinct! What is your process like? Do you put a flat coat of paint over the card image before you begin? Do you paint before you use microns? Do you sketch out your pieces before you begin working on the cards?

So many questions! I've been following you for a while, and I'm still amazed every time you upload a new piece.
Keep the masterpieces coming please!

Thanks! I don't typically sketch much, as I indeed use a lot of layers (base, colors, pen, highlights usually), so I usually flesh out the image as I go. The scale and nature of the card forces me to work around a lot of details on a small scale, so I try not to force imagery over the name/cc, etc.
