Description Day 82 of my 366 daily art project! A lot more are on the way! Please read all about my project and charity below and in my journal.

My 4th non-dominant hand ACEO drawing! Today I was actually able to let go and enjoy drawing without being so conscious of using the 'wrong' hand.

And space art is SO fun!

And I used a new paper that has been sitting in my studio for over a year because I had ordered the wrong paper. Ooops! Who knew I'd actually love the smooth texture?

♥ For every day of 2012, I will be drawing one ACEO sketch card. Every single one will be for sale - ALL proceeds to be donated to charity at the end of 2012.

My charity of choice is a local foundation called Alternatives to Violence, who is currently raising money to build a safehouse. This safehouse will provide a secure shelter to men, women and children who have recently escaped physical and sexual abuse.

With the safehouse, 312 individuals every year will receive crisis intervention, counseling, safety planning, advocacy and shelter.

Together, through art, we can help make a difference.

nice FOGGY\MISTY effect..
very nice idea to use blue mist with dark black SPACE

nova, supernova, ultra novas,,, hmm,,,

and the largest Planet,, well ,, so many colorz in ther,, and u did and excellent job to blend them in together,,,
without making them look odd

and your trademark"- chalk highlights- are,,awesomely shiny.

but u know,,if i squint my eyes,,, i see a wolf,,with flames outta his nostrils,,,

well keep it up..!!!
i know u must be tempted to use ur right hand to draw,,,
but... "resist the temptation" ,, thats all i wud say..

You're very welcome.

If you don't mind my asking - how easy/difficult is it to keep up? I'm very tempted to follow your example, as there are so many good causes out there in need of some funding, and it seems a nice way to give something back to those who donate. But it seems like it would be easy to get sidetracked and let it slide after a while. Not to mention that a piece of art every day is a pretty amazing feat. How do you manage it?

It's a huge challenge to keep up with! Especially now that I'm nursing a hand injury!
But I'm still going and still drawing and I have honestly never committed to a project that has meant more to me(or so many others) before!
I'm learning every single day and finding new ways to challenge myself through this project. It has been nothing short of amazing and I wholeheartedly encourage you to try it out! Even if you can only commit for 100 days instead of a year.

It only takes a few hours every day and surprisingly - I manage to find those few hours here and there every day! Even if it's at midnight!

I'm glad it's recovering but it would probably be best if you let it rest for a while. They turn out wonderful anyway so no need to worry. If this weren't for a cause I would tell you to rest altogether and just focus on getting better.

I agree - if I weren't so committed to it, I'd rest it for a solid week or two! But I've got it braced and I'm alternating heat and ice to help it along. You are so sweet and such an encouragement to me as I keep going and keep drawing! Thank you so much!

Well I'm glad you're doing all you can to take care of it. And just remember that even though something feels better doesn't mean it's finished healing, so don't be afraid to give it extra time.

Awe I'm so glad to hear that. I feel like I haven't been around as much lately and I feel bad. I still care and I think about you and the project often. Something will make me think of you or what might be inspiring to you and then I wonder how you're doing because I don't want you to wear yourself out. You're great to put so much effort into this and I don't forget that. You have a lot of people that appreciate what you're doing, so remember you don't have to go through it all entirely alone. ^_^

I'm definitely making sure I take enough time for it to heal. I've let my commissioners know that I need to take a break and I haven't drawn at all with my right hand for almost a week now.

And I'm still so happy to have your support. It means SO much to me!
