I find that stuffed hippos are far superior in the monster-fending department, but I suppose that a bunny is an adequate substitute. Kids don't need all four limbs nowadays, anyhow.

Yes... But! The monster is secretly a Ninja and will use his awesome Ninja skills to defeat Zork: Bunny Of Death! Here's how I think it went:
The monster was just behind the small boy and was about to strike when the fluffy rabbit that the boy had been holding jumped up and hit the monster with the magical "Touch of death" Fortunately the monster was a Ninja so it was able to block the attack before it could piece his soul.
"Run for it, Bob!" Said the rabbit to the small boy (I called him Bob, 'cause I'm cool like that) the boy took off running and the monster said in a gruff voice "Who are you?" "I am Zork: Bunny Of Death!" Replied the rabbit "Who are you?" "I am Monster Ned" (I called him Ned, 'cause I'm cool like that) Ned went for Zork, but, Zork was expecting this and did a back-flip hitting Ned in the noes as he did so.
"Ow! That's cheating!" Said Ned holding his noes. "So is trying to eat little boys." countered Zork. So their epic battle raged on and eventually........
They discover that Bob had been hit by a bus while trying to run away.
Zork and Ned have been best friends ever since.
