Ya think so? I think it's pretty fun, veeeery military, but I am making some right now that look crazy and colorful, each one I make I sorta like better than the next!

it's based purely on personal preference. I tend to prefer when funcionality is made apparent, like with this visor, just by looking at it I know what it does. also I'm into the military theme but that is secondary.

Yeah, I can get that. I think for these it was just... Make each one look different and just see how far I can go with designs. Funny thing is after so many of them, all robots start looking cliche' sooo I had to go get inspiration. My favorite inspiration came from Lego Mechas that people have built online. there are some fantastic ones out there. Because the majority of them were so simplified it gave a better frame in my mind on making more interesting ones.

if you want some ideas, you could make the visors close in from the sides, or have an array of sensors that resemble night vision goggles. you could also go for some asymetry but it may be hard to transmit in profile view. you could also take inspiration in helmets and hats from the past, like a mech musketeer with antennas that resemble feathers on hat.

Hey thanks for the awesome comments! I think it's a pretty cool piece as well. they have been hit and misses, but each one I am trying to make as different as possible. Look out for more each week!
