You show a lot of attention to detail, even with the messy style. Every line is well placed and shows a lot of thought, and the use of grayscale adds a lot of depth to the image, even hinting at what lies in the background. I find myself drawn to the temple structure placed towards the top of the piece, with the criss-crossing lines drawing the eye out towards the background, which are brought back the structure by the rock formations. The only negative I can think of is the design for the temple seems a bit common place, as though I've seen it before. But I think your skills in coloring and line work can really make it unique. Overall, very solid design.

Again a very nice sketch showing basics everyone can learn from. Usage of deep dark thick lines to lightgray thin ones, classical hidden triangle composition by aditional backgrounds left and right. The thickest black lines lead the eye up and down till the next linequality gets into focus and followed. Going over the frame and pointing into the space where the flying objects are situated and get context thus. I wouldn t call it a messy style, it reminds me more a "street- than a  "studio-style". Living in the third millenium after JC i guess we have seen nearly everything, so common places are everywhere and for many its the understanding starting point in a picture, generally it led to that we can speak about special (architectural) aeras. Very authentique that  your style keeps his personal note and doesnt cry for more, it s already more than loud. Congrats, Sean!
