OHHH yes mwahaha!!! okay so they're siblings- youngest of 7 kids to these two.
Garret and Heather are together only because of bloodlines- it's a very strategic marriage because they were hoping for, well, Setu. They're very cold, formal, kind of stereotypical suburban parents with a taste for a very expensive lifestyle. Their society is very modern but deeply entrenched in an old archaic religion, which is pretty much just an easy way for people in power to stay in power by playing on people's beliefs- which gives certain people (cough cough Setu's Parents) opportunities to take advantage of old traditions and laws.
One of those traditions, an ancient prophecy (sorry this is dark it's a heavy story!!!!!) is that there are certain souls sent by the saints to bless the planet, marked apart by their pure white fur, golden eyes, and golden horn(s). It was believed that they were to stay on the planet until 13, when they were ready to begin their "adult" life in the heavens lest they be tainted by the world. So basically there's a sacrifice every year and there's like symbolism or whatever and it's really just a nasty power play by the government to show that It's All Very Real and Serious So You Should Not Question- but as a part of their blessings, the families of these chosen ones are rewarded greatly for both bringing fortune into their land but for their sacrifice and show of faith. So Setu was born to get them super, super rich, after 6 close tries, Faline being just a faint color away from having taken his place. Poor baby boy :^(
Despite their special circumstance, they've always been best friends since day one!! They grew up playing video games, making stories, and sharing everything. Faline treats him like a normal kid when everyone else seems to either revere him or just not know how to act around him, and that's what he loves most about her. Setu's just a sweet and mellow soul but he's also very honest and Faline loves how refreshing and simple it is to just be around him. Where Setu likes reading and making things (he does origami sometimes) Faline has a knack for computers and coding (meaning they grew up watching pirated movies on her school laptop hehehe). When his life is super overwhelming and scary, he knows he can come home and tell Faline about it without her trying to make him think he has to stay happy and understand what it all means. They support each other through thick and thin and have the closest bond out of all the siblings, and honestly in the whole immediate family. When things get crazy Faline drops everything and refuses to stop until she knows Setu is safe <333 they're blessed

oh WOW, this is such an interesting and well planned out story (and world!) :0 Are u planning to make a comic or something else to bring it to life physically? Or just have it as your personal story, which is very valid and I guess basically what I do with my OCs lol.
I love them.. do u have references for them? (u can also put their refs/art + their story on TH so it's all together but you do you!! That's just what works best for me and my stinky OCs :3 )
So Setu has a dark fate set in place for him.. I hope everything works out for him!! <3 <3

In most of my recent drawings, Faline is 15and Setu is... a little over 13 >:333 but in the one I linked he's just turned 12, same with the video. I have a really crusty ref of Setu from my mouse art era two years ago haha, I'm working on new refs for everyone soon!!

That's so good! You're very skilled at story boards aaa I just love story boards so much, I wouldn't mind making my own if I had any ideas ;w;
Animation is kind of my special interest and story boards are a big part of it, the most I've made that I have on hand is this little thing I started (It's missing the beginning bc I never uploaded it): toyhou.se/78978.echo/gallery#9… (3 pages)
It was a lot of fun making that and working out the small details like the angles and emotion in each frame + how the stickies were organized! It's supposed to read more like an animated storyboard rather than pages of a comic bc that's just my artistic preference hah, I see it animated in my mind
