Actually, I think they mix pretty well, and thousands of people seem to agree.

No they don't, and those people are rabid bronies who lack intelligence. Keep those stupid ponies out of all fandoms. Please.

Actually, a lot of them are pokemon fans, who don't really mind, and actually like the idea of pokemon mixing into the equestrian world. Many others aren't big fans of either pokemon, or MLP, and just find the idea amusing and entertaining.
Besides, what's the harm in combining them? If you don't like the idea of combining MLP art with any other media, I'm sorry that you do stumble across so much art from artist who do like doing so. I understand that it gets frustrating seeing this cross over art happen to so many other fandoms (Dr.Who, Fall out, I've even seen L4D pony crossover art) but to try to demand such a huge fraction of the pony fanbase to stop doing something they like to do, and find their artistic muse from, is in on itself a hopeless cause. It's like telling ALL artists to stop drawing their biggest inspiration, just because a hand full of people dislike it, while there's still a bigger demand for their art.
So, I'm very sorry, but Keeping ponies away from any fandom, is not something anyone can do. It's just a natural occurrence for people to combine their favorite things. The only thing you can do is just avoid cross over art like the plague. Commenting and complaining on cross over art won't really help your cause, just stir up minor trouble that, in the end, won't really accomplish anything.
Why waste your time commenting on art that you clearly dislike? Why use up so much of your efforts typing and complaining about a subject you dislike, that you can't really change? There's plenty of pokemon art out there for you to enjoy, much more than any pokemon and pony cross over art.
Why don't you search for something called 'Pokemon Shaming?' It's a trend that's going around with artist, who draw their favorite pokemon with signs of things they imagine they are guilty of doing against their trainers, just like pet shaming pictures. Some of them are pretty cute, like an Aron with a sign that they go into the cupboards at night and eat all the silver spoons. I'm sure a pokemon fan like you would really enjoy it! ^ ^

When it comes to ponies, it feels more like an obsession. I'm sorry, but I just don't like ponies in any fandom. I respect your opinion if you do, but I just don't. Β Also, I have the right to express my opinion and criticize

SeaAndSunshine In reply to Channeleven [2014-07-23 19:45:51 +0000 UTC]
The same can be said about Pokemon, no? It is a very HUGE franchise, and probably has more fandom power and cross over art than Pony's could ever have. People can, and have obsessed over pokemon, probably much more than Ponies. The only difference between the two, is a Pokemon obsession is seen more as normal, since the franchise has been around for a very long time, and with it being a video game with both male, and female protagonists, it is seen as universally acceptable to be liked by both genders.
You are right about being able to voice your opinion and criticize, but there is a difference between criticize, and complaining. Criticism means you offer ways to improve something, and help the creator of the object being criticized ways to improve upon their work (whether or not those words are kind or harsh does not matter). You saying that you dislike Ponies and don't want them to combine with any other fandom is not providing any words of improvement, or help.
I'm not saying you SHOULDN'T voice your opinion. Just as you respect mine, I respect yours, and feel your frustration for having to see so much artwork of a subject you do not like. I just feel like you can put your efforts into something that could better benefit your time and energy, like commenting and offering real criticism on subjects you DO like. That just sounds like a much happier path to take.

I've been exposed to MLP for a long time, it kinda ruined my perspective on the Whole thing, ergo, I'd try to get it out of my system

to me fluttershy would be more fitting as a pokemon ranger their own game series, she would use a captor stylus rather pokeballs, and after they done her job, they go back into the wild
knowing bronies they would think that shiftry would be a gone pokemon for her beacuse of that line
π: 0 β©: 1
SeaAndSunshine In reply to PKMNdetective [2012-11-21 01:57:38 +0000 UTC]
Fluttershy would be too scared and nervous to go into very dangerous places, as being a ranger is a very risky occupation. It's why I pictured her more of a breeder, or a day care runner, since she can remain at home.

Fun fact: Buneary is the only pokemon with 0 base happiness, meaning it starts out hating its trainer as much as possible.

Heh, in my Pokemon crossover canon, Ursaring is one of Fluttershy's pokemon.
My idea is that she takes in a lot of pokemon who are cute in their pre evolved forms (Teddiursa, Whismur, Slakoth, Gible, and so forth) And raises them so well that they evolve really quickly, so she basically has a team of super hardcore Pokemon.

Possibly khangaskan should be an Altaria. As a representation for philomena. I don't think she would be afraid of Altaria, as it doesn't look like a dragon. Although she is a bit afraid of heights i suppose.... hm...

Philomena's already going to have a pokemon version once I make a card for the princesses, which is why I didn't consider her in fluttershy's card.

The template for the pokemon card, I used the card maker on Pokecharms.com. But, I changed the color, added the design of the cutie makrs and the background on the center, as well as create the pixelized ponies myself.

Well, Audino is also the Chancy of generation 5 and learn healing moves as well. Kinda disheartening when you intentionally go after them for XP and right before you land the final blow they use a move that completely heals you instead of them.
