Description Another all-arthropod batch.

Fearwig (human/earwig fusion) : By pure coincidence, this mutation does, in fact, have a penchant for attacking the ears of humans, plunging its cerci (tail pincers) into both ears at once to impale the brain. They dislike being out in the open and are most comfortable wedged into tight spaces (especially boulders and floorboards) with only their tails exposed. They almost never walk right-side up.

Voidlion (human/antlion fusion) : A glimpse into the evolutionary future of insects, it traps prey with an irresistible psychic vortex perceivable only to the intended victim. Its hollow jaws inject a paralytic digestive enzyme to liquify internal organs of incapacitated prey. It rarely moves, and can only do so backwards.

Apteros (human/dragonfly fusion) : A cunning predator that trades the flight of its insect half for land speed. It vibrates when running at a unique frequency that renders it difficult to see. It typically uses its single arm to tear off the head of its prey without even stopping.

Cereevril (human/weevil fusion) : It has no mouth or digestive tract, but feeds on psychic energy, reducing other creatures into blithering idiots for days at a time. Strangely, the Cereevril itself also experiences a loss of intelligence after a "meal", but its psionic power increases dramatically.

Blighterfly (human/butterfly fusion) : Its wings always resemble those of the butterfly species used in its creation, but the body invariably comes out horribly malformed and continues to randomly mutate throughout its lifespan. It puts other creatures to sleep with its soft cry, then inserts its feeding tube down the victim's throat to drain their stomach contents.

Thrikid (human/locust fusion) : Omnivorous, but prefers plants. It never stops eating as long as food is available, repeatedly regurgitating its meal in a noxious black froth to gorge itself again and again. Wherever this bile falls, nothing will grow back for years. The sight and smell of other Thrikids drives it into a feeding frenzy, but this is difficult to distinguish from its normal behavior.

my friend's little sister will never squish another bug in fear that one these will come and get her. She thought of that herself, not me.

I like all the new updates. Corpsecreature, I think the new fearwig more resembles an actual fusion between man and earwig. The old one looked more buggy. Thrikid has a truely sweet looking face!

The weevil doesn't have a mouth? Then what's that great big proboscis doing there?! Is it just a vestigial remnant?

I like how you don't confuse a cicada with a locust like some do. How anyone could confuse the two is beyond me.

I like to think maybe the tip of his proboscis houses the organs that generate his psionic drain, which would feel to the victim like their head is being drilled into anyway

The cicada that emerges every 17 years can be called a "17-year locust", but that's just in reference to the locust-like way it just suddenly shows up in massive numbers. It's like how manatees can be called "sea cows" and some legless lizards can be called "glass snakes". Unfortunately a lot of people just don't get it and think a cicada is a locust :/

But a locust is a type of grasshopper, not even related to the cicada! It's like calling squid "devilFISH." Or the names "cuttleFISH" (a cephalopod) or "tomato WORM" (a caterpillar). I prefer to call things what they are.

Yeah, it's just a nickname comparing one kind of cicada to locusts but people think it means they ARE locusts.
