Since his first appearance in Awful Hospital: Seriously the Worst Ever, Doctor Phleboto has seemingly been my most popular character in anything. I've gotten more than 100 pieces of fan-art of him and several put him in situations that may or may not be appropriate for all viewers. Apparently, he's dead sexy to a whole lot of people and that's adorable. I'll have to do some fanservice with him one of these days.While the syringe is a "natural" part of his body, it is also removable.

His design is really appealing, but what really sells Phleboto to me is just the way you portray him in Awful Hospital. With no context he looks like he would be a mad scientist character, absolutely bonkers and happy to experiment on humans. But without ever saying a word, you make him out into this charming character, a guy that is just doing his job, but without malice or hate. He is just being a polite, helpful doctor.

I like "mascot" characters, and how they're already so close to monsters; like, actual hospitals have artwork of syringes with happy faces reminding you to get your shots. It's fun to make monsters out cute, silly things.
