They should have a Batman TAS/X-Men TAS crossover and Joker could throw his sharp cards at Gambit, who in return could throw in exploding cards. Fatality!

Practice, and it also depends on which character. I find the joker to be very easy to do, while its a bit harder to do for example the scarecrow.
