So this is my entry for ' Dressphere contest! Well, technically more than Dresspheres, but I ended up feeling so overwhelmed by classes (and I PLAY Final Fantasy!) that I wound up going back to the smaller group of just Dresspheres. Plus I think it was a little easier to think of girly outfits when they're all originally tailored for women, you know?

So here's Dr. Mrs. the Monarch, from the wonderful show The Venture Brothers, as a Gun Mage! I had a hard time thinking of a class that suited her compared to most of the other characters, as she's strong and skilled but not really in any one standout thing. She does use guns and similar weaponry on occasion though and sure is smart enough to take advantage of any situation or opponent, so I figured Gun Mage suited her best as they're sort of gunmen with more worldly knowledge (using their opponents' attacks against them).

Her Dr. Mrs. the Monarch outfit was the original inspiration (not her Dr. Girlfriend outfit) since I felt the silk drape things went with the Gun Mage's sash-skirt better. I tried to stick pretty close to the idea of her own outfit while tweaking things to match the FF design better, and threw in the utility belt of the Henchmen to make her seem a little more battle-worthy. The belly-button window even makes me think of Molotov.
The Gun Mage gun I totally replaced as that thing is ass-ugly and would've clashed horribly, and I couldn't really think of a good way to combine it with a Monarch gun, so I just made one up that had that same stocky look. And obviously I had to change the floating rune-thingy to match!

I really learned a ton working on this and am super-proud of it. From prelim sketching to inking digitally to mimicking different textures, this was a great project in a lot of ways. Hope you like it!
