5/7i really liked the blunatic in the game! the patterns on it intrigued me the most. weather it was intended to flicker like that capured me as well. it reminded me a bit of a flickering candle, so that was the inspiration for this one. i kind of had fun with the swirls of this doodle, mainly because it follows the way the "flame" moves. this will probably be soon completed alongside the snowball, all in the glory of its swirls. and maybe a better, glowing, flickering, kind when i'm better at drawing.

I thought Moon-Bleached Blunatic was one of the more interesting foes too.
It sort of looks like he was corrupted or something by the Moon Mimes or that large statue at the end of Stage 3, and turned into one of them, as for he looks like a Blue but with the same skin and eyes as the Moon Mimes, how he appears to be moving in a very unnatural manner, and his quote is "MUST.... RETURN..... TO..... LUNA....." Indicating he is trying to do something to return to the moon or something.
I also think that Moon-Bleached Blunatic and the Moon Mimes have Psychic abilities too. For their attack, they just stare and flash their wide-open eyes, and it almost looks like they're attacking the Slush Defender's minds directly with some sort of psychokinetic force.
Not to mention, when you fight against Yoyo or Nhazul there, instead of him, both Yoyo and Nhazul have red eyes now and their dialogue indicates they aren't acting like themselves. I think maybe that Moon-Bleached Blunatic must've been controlling their minds with his new psychic abilities. This is also evidenced by how the other RHG fighters, FLLFFL and Chuck, still act normal and don't have red eyes when you face them, perhaps because Blunatic didn't encounter them, or they have a strong enough will to resist his mind control.

um, sorry if this doesn't make much sense or it sounds like rambling, it's because it's very late and i can't think properly atm, but i needed to say my thoughts.
ahhhh yesss this analysis is very cool!
although, i'm scaring myself a little bit because after this comment, i began to speculate that the level / setting that they're found in, is full of supernatural brain-looking creatures, purely known for their strong psychic capabilities. and then i started to think that blunatic was just your average blue, and then he got corrupted terribly by these moon mimes. (poor thing!). then somehow he joins forces with these creepy things, to keep out unwanted intruders.
his quote, shows that, i guess, he still has the motivation to turn back into his old, loyal, blue self. (like you said, in that last comment about blue paint a couple months ago...)
anywho, now that your headcannons' here, i have some portrayal of how blunatic is like when i'd fanart him. i'll keep this in mind! this is very good!

The way you drew Blunatic here still gives the vibes of a Psychic-turned being if you ask me though.
Hmm, I didn't notice that the Moon Mimes look like Brains, until you mentioned it. Does fit with the Psychic theme though.
I think they are called "Mimes" because they don't talk and are quiet. In fact, their quote said is "0_0" which is basically an emoticon of a staring, wide-eyed face. They don't speak, but stare.
