I really like the colors you've used here, its created a wonderful atmosphere and a sense of great vastness. I've found that its often tough to portray a sense of great height or space (I've struggled with it since I can remember) but you've really managed it well here. I'm so jealous!

Yeah, I took a while to figure out what colour the gryphon should be. XD
But then I thought 'Hmmm I'll make it dark coloured...' and then I called the piece Midnight Greeting Dawn since the gryphon kinda represents midnight. XD

I never did get to thank you for that great comment you left on my latest pic ..so I guess I'll try and leave an equally swell one for you. Anyways, love the sky! Despite how often you see skies like that here in Washington, I'm just not able to capture them like this. I tend to get a little too friendly with the blur tool. XD;
Also, the highlights on the Gryphons chest really make it look super-feathery-fluffy!

Hehe we never see skies like this over here... it's either grey or... grey. Occasionally blue, but in winter, it's easy to forget those...
