Is Mona upset because Alopex is the new female mutant in the series? (At least the IDW series which I just started reading and am totally in love with.)

I guess you can say that. For a long time Mona was "the" female mutant, now Alopex is a rising star in the new series. Also yes, the IDW series is pretty awesome.

I've been reading the volumes on my Comixology app. I forgot how much I love TMNT! Now thanks to the new show on Nick, it's like I'm reliving my childhood.
