Hi, don't mind this picture but I'm looking for critiques on my new eye style, kindly modeled by Apple Bloom here. Don't mind that she's all jagged and has no arms, this was a quick doodle.I'm trying to find unique ways to drawing eyes on my pony characters and I'm really liking this style. My only issue is that it might be too gothic or demonic as someone said before. What do ya'll think?
A number of people already commented on this subject and I should keep the black iris boarders thin to achieve maximum awesome. I posted here and ask for some final comments before I sell myself on this style.

Okay, I hardly ever do critiques, but I decided I'd give it a shot since I'm a totally unbiased person on your art since I only saw this on the newest deviations page. (Don't mind the star ratings too much I don't know)
I don't find these eyes demonic. The thing is the emotion with the eyes. I covered up Apple Bloom's mouth here and couldn't figure out what emotion she had from her eyes alone. She looked kind of creepy from just eyes but not demonic while on a face, so possibly work in finding an eye style that conveys more emotion?
Also I can't help but think there's too much black compared to the colored part of the eye--perhaps make the color of the eye be bigger compared to the black? Also maybe it'd look more natural if the black and color spots were switched in positions.
I'm sorry, I think I rambled. I like the feel of the eyes though <3 also just saying armless doodle Apple Bloom is adorable XD
