i'm trying to keep things fresh, and here's an attempt at completely pulling a 180 and trying something drastically different with a style. no super rendering, no black lines, all bright colors and big shapesI drew this all in flash, a program which i have grown to have a love/hate relationship with. these three scurvey pirates of the salty seas only took me maybe two hours, which is a helluva lot less time than pencling, inking, then scanning in to color in photoshop. this is one of the very fews things I have done completely digital, and I like the results.

i actually wrote you that note after i had done the scrren shot thing and took the .jpg into photoshop, but im going to do your method next time I work in flash (which should be real soon)

Do you have Illustrator or do you just like Flash better?

i have illustrator - i just like using flash. but then again i have never tried to draw anything straight in illustrator

dude, these rock. they remind me of wind waker characters. the only possibly helpful thing I could say might be to use a little more contrast in some areas because without lines some areas and details get lost.
