Very cool. I love the angle, very dramatic!
Who is Durga?

durga is an indian goddess, i mean hindu goddess.
i am from india and i am a hindu, thats why i picked her as my subject.
she is a princess, she was married to mahadeva, who was also a god, her purpose was to kill mahisasura - a demon.
she is bold and beautiful, but i made her more bold and less beauty, i made her simple and down to earth
may her bless us.

Oh I see!
I like your interpretation.
I find the "down to earth" consept to be very beautiful!
Unfortunately, I have to admit I don't know much about the Hindu religion. It can take a while for a silly westerner like me to grasp some of the concepts. But I love trying to understand.
This is going to sound weird. Years ago I had a dream that contained the word "Maya" I had no idea what this word meant. The dream was so stuck in my head, I looked it up. Apparently the literal translation is "illusion" but years later I found out it means SO much more. I can't really understand, but maybe I'm not supposed to. Maybe that's part of the point?
You probably think I sound so silly! Oh well!
Does that mean you're a vegetarian?
I am too! ^_^
what a long comment...
I hope you don't mind.

hey, no problem with any long comment, especially when it is from an interested friend.
hinduism is the most ancient religion in the world. somebody says that it was formed even before the creation of the world.
if you have enough time in your hand to waste, you can visit [link] and download some hindu religious books from there. but beware, they are very long.
secondly if you have a small time to spare and you want to know about hinduism at a glance, you can download 'autobiography of a yogi' by paramhansa yogananda from Gutenberg. it is only 300 pages long.
but take my suggestion : dont bother about the religion or cast.
i am not vegetarian, but some day i might become. it is forbidden to eat beef for hindus, but it was my favorite. but know i have restricted myself from such greed. in near future i may become vegetarian.
actually i am hindu by birth, but currently i am thinking over buddhism, there is some point in it i will tell you later.
have you read "buddha" by osamu tezuka?
"maya" as you stated - "illusion" on a bigger or greater extent. more explanation can be obtained from "matrix revolution". i hope you have seen that. there in that movie in a train sequence, there is an indian engineer, i forgot his name, he explains about our make-believe world to neo.
you know what is the most interesting thing? durga is also called "maha maya" - which means "great illusion"
do you believe in reincernation? we hindus do. it can be like that previously you were an indian lady!!! that's why you had that dream - ha ha ha.

Thank you for all that!
"Durga" also being "Maha Maya" that's cool!
I like Buddhism too.
The more I look into religions the more I can find similarities between them.
I love trying to figure everything out. But I don't want to restrict myself by just sticking to one religion I suppose, haha.
Some people might take that as a type of blasphemy. But I would say it's blasphemy to deny this curious mind I was given!
Maybe I was an Indian lady! who can say?!
If you think about it. If reincarnation is real (I think perhaps it is). At some point we would have all been God...
That's very cool.

thats the point.
or may be we are some kind of clones of the members of the original race created by god.
i read "danicen" too and i like his ideas.

Oh I've heard about him.
"The chariots of the Gods"?
I should read that. Haha I love aliens. But then again, I have never met one.
Some people say when there are alien encounters the "aliens" are actually people from the future in time machines. Ooo.

"chariots of gods" is his first book.
i hope he had written near about 12 books altogether.
i had only read 5 or 6 of them.
you can find danicen on the net, but you can visit this [link] and there are plenty of cool things for brain-storming.
better not to read or think about these.
