this is late, AGAIN.
so yeah, i'm 's Secret Santa..h-he already knows. I was supposed to submit it yesterday but dang our broadband internet(yep, lol..that's why) was acting crazy again..
so it seemed he was okay with it..yeah i think..lol

good work! I like the gloomy atmosphere of the artwork and I really remembered the last few episodes of Another when I saw this.
but I could say that you can improve this piece by fixing up the anatomy a bit more, try to make the hands look more natural instead of making it look like it's glued together. And I'm not quite sure about this, but I think that Mei has a small body build but you made her look a bit taller than she should, but I guess that doesnt matter much, but anyways, good work ^_^

and yeah, truth be told, i only got to know her more after i finished this. I mean, i never got to watch(this just sounds so wrong, why?) the anime. And I also didn't have any reference for her anatomy;her pose and stuff, the umbrella..i don't know. I had hard time drawing her hair properly, and look, it's still not right.lol
but I guess i'm kind of glad.OH I AM GLAD, since you said that you remembered the last few eps with this, and pikaluva also said I really captured(or was it something else) her character, knowing the fact that i could only depend solely on 2 pictures of her, and the pictures we had on our computer for the background..lol we didn't have internet OTL

I'm surprised that you never got to watch the anime and yet you were able to portray the character's personality well... but at least, you're able to do so.

yeah, I'm also interested in the mysterious eerie kinds of characters, unlike the common happy go lucky characters or the moe moe characters... but I really appreciate those too XDDD but Mei, her character is really interesting.
yup, I plan to make art my profession in the future XD art for me is something I really enjoy, my teachers think it's my passion XDDD so yeah, the saying goes turn your passion into your profession XDDDD

that's good! In my case, i didn't take a course related to art. Everyone, from my relatives to my friends and classmates and anyone who knew i like to draw urged me to make it my profession. I did thought about it, but decided to take something else..lol

and it's fine~ we both have different perspective on things.... but actually, I chose art over Law... since it's like... my teachers think I would make a great a visual artist, while most of my relatives are thinking I should be a lawyer... while the others think I would make a good visual artist. but honestly speaking, I think it would be better for people to weigh things before really choosing their course, you get what I mean right? like when choosing you need to think of practicality, what you can do in the future, is this course in demand? or will it be in demand soon... thats how I chose my course... but I'm not even in college yet-- wow I rambled

pfftt-- january and febuary are two stressful months... I totally relate to the headaches after the exams.... like... ugh... prom and lots of things randomly popping up... so stressful... plus competitions left and right...

school..it's funny how in the past, kids wanted to go to school but couldn't because they belong in the low class of society or they were girls..And yet now..

sorry late reply, I got really busy, but now I'm back.
well, somehow, I think that's sad.... kids these days dont get that they're given a benefit, instead they just disregard it and not care that their life is already being improved.... some even cut classes.... but then again, some kids just think this "Why are we learning this? What do we use X and Y axis or coordinates for in real life?" you dont drive and then think "oh, I'm driving at the velocity of x, so I need to square my acceleration so I can get to my destination at this time" so they lose interest.... but then again, if you're a programmer, an engineer, a game developer or an architect... then you would need that... but other average people dont see the point.... but there's no harm in learning.

Definitely true. Although I did ask the same kind of questions before though. But in my case, I took a field where that math doesn't apply. Well, not entirely true. I only got my answer this second semester in our College Algebra Class. And actually, math is just logic..heh Where in that case, symbols are used. so heck.

ohhh, well yeah, math is just logic. but I think that the really important math is addition, subtraction multipication and division... but what I like about math is that it gets me thinking... I like math a bit... but it's more of a hobby like, not time pressured exams like.

I remember putting math as my favorite subject, along with science(at that time). And I added there, it is challenging.
