Description
It had been four years since the Apocalypse was stopped and three days since the promised due date of the highly anticipated birth of the most famous member of the B.P.R.D who had yet to even be born. Liz Sherman-Broom sat quietly stroking the cat on her lap as her anxious husband paced nervously about.
“Red, sit down and relax. You’re making me nervous.”
“Relax? How can I relax with you sitting there looking like you’re about to pop. It’s been three days. Three days! Why hasn’t it been born yet?”
“Not all babies come on their exact due date. Relax. Abe said everything was fine. The baby is health, I’m healthy, I’ve stopped lighting the room on fire from mood swings, everything will be fine. Just sit down.” she pulled the large red man down next to her and leaned her head on his broad chest as she placed his hand over her large swollen belly. They sat quietly like that for a few minutes, the gentle moment calming his nerves a bit, when a loud sharp gasp suddenly escaped Liz’s lips.
“What!? What’s wrong?” Hellboy was on his feet in a second.
“I think... it’s time.” she gasped.
“Time? You mean now? Here? No!” he quickly picked her up into his strong arms. “Hang on, we’ll get you to the med lab, and I’ll go get Abe.” He rushed her out of the room and down the hall of the bureau into the med lab. The staff there had been preparing for the birth for the last month. The entire room had been fire guarded, including the staff members, just in case. Hellboy carefully laid her down on the table as doctors flocked around, then ran off to get the fish-man, Abe Sapien. Abe’s advice during Liz’s pregnancy turned out to be more useful and more accurate then the doctor’s most of the time, and right now, he was the only one Hellboy trusted with his wife’s first child.
“Yo, Blue. It’s time. Get your rear in gear and get down to the med lab.” yell Hellboy through Abe’s tank. The fish-man, let go of the rotten egg he was about to eat and hurried out. He met Hellboy in the med lab only a minute later to see a crying and squirming Liz refusing doctor attention until Hellboy had returned.
“I’m here, it’s okay. Abe’s here. You’re gunna be fine.” he reassured her.
“No, H.B., I can’t do this. I’m not ready. I’m scared and it hurts so much. Make it stop.” she sobbed as he stroked her hair away from her face.
“Hey, isn’t there anything you genius doctors can do to help ease the pain?” he shouted.
“I’m sorry, sir, but she’s too far dilated. The drugs wouldn’t even have time to kick in before the baby would be born.” said a faceless doctor in a fire suit.
“Abe, do something!” shouted Hellboy. Abe had been standing there quietly with his hand over Liz. He pulled back when Hellboy shouted and looked right at him.
“Everyone, get out!” he yelled. Everyone that could made a mad break for the door just as an explosion of blue flames engulfed the entire room. Liz’s loud screams of pain could barely be heard over the roaring of the fire that threatened to melt the room they were in.
“Hang in there Liz! You can do this!” encouraged Hellboy, unfazed by the extreme heat of the fire. Just then, the sound of a baby crying could be heard mixed in with the noise of the room that sounded like a reverse jet engine. Hellboy looked down to see a squirming red mass covered in blue flames. His first thought was that the baby was screaming because it was on fire, but as the flames surrounding Liz started to fade and the room cooled, the small bundle continued to burn brightly on it’s own. Liz blacked out just as the baby’s flames subsided and Abe and the other doctors cautiously returned to the charred room with fire extinguishers in hand and tallied the death toll of the birth.
Hellboy carefully wrapped the small child in one of the doctor’s scrubs while they cut the cord and hurried to put out various small fires around the room.
“Congratulations on your new daughter.” smiled Abe as he patted Hellboy’s shoulder. Hellboy smiled and looked down at the small infant in his arms.
“She’s definitely got her mother’s spark.”

This picture has been sitting around for well over a year, half finished, and mocking me. I even started writting a story about her around the time I originally drew this, but that's been on hiatus for a long while too. (There's the beginning above.) With the new Hellboy movie coming out (which I've been waiting for for over a year!!! XD), I decided it was time to finish this picture.
Anywhoo, this is Eve aka Hellgirl, the daughter of Hellboy and Liz. (Yeah, I'm a sap for the pairing. ^_^ ) She was going to be holding blue flame balls, but... that requires skills that I don't have.
I realize there are plenty of flaws with this picture, but I'm just so happy to finally have it done and not staring at me anymore. No critiques please.

EDIT: OMFG! I just saw the new movie. XD I want to spoil it for you all SOOOOOOO bad, but I won't. >_< Just so you know, it was AWESOME! XD
