Luca's a really gay demon who's also really bad at his job

he's in the same universe as jamie and marco. he's a really important character <3 probably one of my favorites too

ok so hear me out: luca was once any ordinary human in the 60's, he's late teens to early 20's of age. the spirit world (which is where these universes demons come from) has many monsters that often recruit humans as sort of henchmen. when recruited the humans are basically transformed into spiritual beings with immortality and any other trait that may help them in accomplishing a task for their spirit (or not, it's the recruiters choice. the human could stay the same if their monster wanted them to).
these humans are often convinced to work for them because the spirit world is made out to be something great, magical and better than the humans reality by the recruiter.
once they are recruited, there's no going back on their part and are often made as slaves (sexual or labor-wise, it doesn't matter) for all eternity with their monster.

though, luca was worthless at the start, both mentally and physically weaker than most people, which is probably the main reason he wanted to leave the mortal realm in the first place. his homosexuality and biracial ethnicity certainly didn't help with his self-esteem, so he was soon realized to be worthless by the recruiter. their treaty broke, and now luca is basically a realm jumper, exploring and all that.

sometimes he still helps his original recruiter, since his monster wasn't as obviously usually cruel as most, with recruiting new humans and henchmen as slaves.
though most of the time he fails at convincing them unless the human can somehow relate to them. or he just scraps the idea of taking them to his previous recruiter and just takes them along on journeys across the spirit realm, mortal realm and anything in between!

- luca cannot age, he's in his 17-22's forever (unless he wants to change his age with weird spoopy demon magic, which he can)
- he identifies proudly as a twink
- he has many friends and enemies from the spirit and mortal realm both (one of them will be another main character)
- demiboy
- really fucking gay
- left a lover behind when being recruited, and has no idea how to contact him

when made into a demon, various things changed about him: lost eyes, gained immortality, teeth strengthened and enlarged, can grow wings if hoping to fly in the mortal world (he can fly in the spirit world without wings since physics is fucked there), gains marks/tatoos at random, sporadically; they're normally goldish and glow dimly.

i hope you like his character! i honestly thought the majority of all of this up tonight because i'm weird hehe
i wanted to experiment a bit with lighting and atmosphere.

i'm thinking about making a side story with just luca, his life previous to his recruition and the friends/enemies he's made while being a demon! i probably won't until a while though.
