Description OK, since everybody´s doing one I´ll give it a try, too.
So these I would say were more or less my major artistic influences over the years.
I found it very difficult to chose which influences were bigger than others because in each phase of artistic developement one has different idols.
For example you don´t see much capullo-esque-ness in my current work, nonetheless he was a big influence for me.

Nice work here, various type of drawing are original, and the composition of photo is interesting, it look like a videocassette. ^^

Hernandez is king, such a strong style, just a pleasure to look at every frame, As great he is as an artist his writing is just genius.

his stories are cool but sometimes also a bit confusing because of similarities between characters and hairstyle changes... but pure aesthetic

I think there´s not so much of her stuff to be found online.
I´m lucky enough to own two wendling artbooks called iguana bay 2.0 and drawers 2.0. so much amazing linearts.

ELVGREN

FO'

LYYYYYFFFEEEEEEEEE

yeah idk I didn't put any artists in mine :'c but we share at least two major inspirations.

I'm surprised you're influenced by the Warhammer/Warhammer 40K stuff, I would not have picked up on it in your work, ha ha!

ELVGREN GO GO GO !!!

The second´s Hughes I guess.

Games workshop had so many great artists which influenced me in different degrees, I just couldn´t list all of them here: Mark Gibbons, Adrian Smith, Ian Miller, Jes Goodwin ...
The GW artwork in its entirety was one of the main reasons I started to concentrate on learning to draw.

It is. <3

I wasn't aware of Games Workshop until I was well into my teens, ha ha. I was more interested in painting the figurines, than I was in playing!

I strongly belief painting figurines helps to develop three dimensional thinking.
But that may be wishful thinking. The time spent for paintig miniatures had to be good for something. XD

Adam Huges ^^ Guy's a genious !

Even Shirow, got Appleseed 1 to 5, his style evolves between them and he's quite a god in this cyber-punk universe !

Shirow (the old one) - Mucha - Hughes

I totally agree

Scebiqu In reply to giocchan [2010-08-22 15:38:21 +0000 UTC]

Yep, Shirows old (traditionally colored) stuff, Orion, GITS and Appleseed was top notch. Somehow I didn´t like the look of his digital colored newer illustrations.

You are right, all the Intron Depot 1 (and a small part of Intron Depot 2) was really great. It's a pity he has changed his style (maybe now he works faster?), I also liked a lot all his older B/W mangas - they have an amazing attention to details, very inspiring

Scebiqu In reply to giocchan [2010-08-24 06:10:29 +0000 UTC]

you´re absolutely right about intro depot.
At some point he simply went to far with elongating the proportions of his women.
