Misty wasn't the first little sister Shadow or the others had, she was the first foal Shadow and the others had! She didn't stay little for long though. She quickly grew in height, but not in her mind. Just 10 years younger than Shadow but she still acts like a filly, even in her old age. Because she was made as a filly, she had to grow up like an ordinary horse and she has to feed on more than just fear. She's fully developed every little marking on her sandy coat and has all nine spikes grown out of the back of her neck, which means she's an Elder Nightmare. She was the first to hit the age where she had to start taking a lot more breaks than usual. But that doesn't stop her having a little fun!

When she was first created, she was the heart and soul of the herd. She hadn't even developed her horns properly! They were just tiny little stumps to start out with. Her hooves were rounded off as were all of her leg joints, her rein horns were tiny sand stumps placed behind either side of her mouth, the spikes on her neck were small and smoothed off and she only had three at the time, her cheek horns hadn't even grown in yet and her tail and mane shadows were so short! She was so adorable! And like today, but not as much, her sand was very loose. Every time Pitch petted her he would find that a small amount of sand would come off her and appear in his hand. Now every time he pets her a large amount of sand comes off her and appears in his hand. She would often whinny and neigh for attention from her sisters or her master, or Daddy as he's known to the fillies and younger Nightmares, and if they were to busy to play with her or they simply ignored her she would rub her head and body on their legs and jump up on them like a dog would. She'd always get her playtime one way or another!

Those days have long gone now, and she is nearing the end. A Nightmare can only last for so long when they've been Filly Born. She often lays down and takes lots of naps and plenty of rests now. She's not strong enough to pounce on her Master or her sister's like she used to do when she was little any more. She barely has enough energy to play with the young ones or even move around now. But even though she's pretty much useless to the herd now, she still gets plenty of care and love from her sisters and her 'Daddy'.
