WHOOOO GO PART 2!!!!!!!I was reading this and flipping out, just FLIPPING OUT MAN. I mean, SO MUCH FREAKING TOKKA!!! That is my Avatar OTP, and I'm glad to see soooo much evidence from the creators! S. S. TOKKA, BABY!
Ohhh, and it also made me laugh a lot. I'm officially in love with The Dark One! "I hate you... and you... and you..." Ah, he's so sexy and hilarious! The heart of a poet! Gotta love it!
And they brought back the foaming mouth! When the monster thingy that was actually Toph started 'eating' Penga's shoes, her mouth had the foam in it! I laughed soooo hard!
But one question........................................
MAI, Y U LEAVE ZUKO?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!
I get it, he's got secrets, but don't we all?! If my dad was Ozai, I certainly wouldn't want anyone to know that I'm getting advice from him! Mai's obviously an idiot to leave sir Firelord of sexiness.
But I do have to say, despite my anger, I was about to cry. I was all like, "Eh-heh-heh..... wait, wut?"
Mai, you need to get back together with Zuko, or I'll set my Avatar oc on you. She's a firebender, so I would watch out.
I'm also kinda pissed at the roles Katara and Mai have taken on. In this story, both of them are just "the girlfriend". They don't really have a key role anymore like they did in the show. One of the main reasons I loved Avatar was because of it's strong female characters! I haven't seen Mai fight once.
ARTISTS/STORY WRITERS, GET OF YOUR LAZY ASSES AND GET MAI TO FIGHT.
That is all for now, and I will make one of these again when part 3 comes out in September.

See, the way I took it was that this could potentially be a Mai leaves Zuko, Suki gets a thing for Zuko. Suki leaves Sokka. Sokka becomes heart broken, Toph finds other person. Later, Toph has Lin, father bails, Sokka now has room to enter.
Biological father is not an option, however step father is still an option. Toph and Sokka have the "Bestfriend, but wanting more" thing going on, so it could potentially be like that.
Cause, in LoK, we don't actually know who General Iroh's parents are, atleast mother wise. We obviously know it's Zuko's son, but it never said Mai was his mother. Just throwing that out there.
Also, while Zuko might not be stupid enough to take advice from his father, who was a bad person... the fact remains that his father was a great LEADER. As it was said, Fire Lord is a big responsibility and it's hard to maintain, so why go to Iroh who has no experience being in said position of power? Plus, he's also trying to dig for his mother's whereabouts. His father said "perhaps it could come up during our conversation". I feel like anyone would take that chance to find their mother again.

So? Just because we're never told doesn't mean that it isn't Mai. Part 3 still hasn't come out yet. They're most likely going to get back together so it doesn't screw with the story line in LoK.

Suki isn't said to still be with Sokka. And in real life people have children, split up, and then find someone else.
My point, of which you're just pushing aside and saying "so" to, is that it's possible. T'was all I was referring to.

It would screw with the story line because lots of people haven't read The Promise and would be totally oblivious to the fact that Zuko and Mai didn't get together.
And I said 'so' because neither of our theories have been proven right so I would prefer it if you would get off my ass about this. I was expressing my opinion on the matter, not looking for an argument.

Discussion is discussion, if you freak out because you can't understand sarcasm and lightheartedness on the internet then you need to step back and reevaluate things.
I suppose it's gotten to the point where having fun "what if" conversation becomes one's opinion being expressed and then closed off to other people's interpretation and counter opinion to bring a deeper conversation. Where as those who are mindlessly agreeing is accepted into the fold.
My first comment was indulging a conversation, expressing some points I feel you missed, and trying to keep it light and civil. You then nitpick and be short, where I try to twist my comment into explaining, and then you throw it away. Bravo.
For the record, LoK can still have flashbacks which explain portions of The Promise. As well, there's another series that will be created after The Promise that pinpoints on Zuko's mother. Both are being worked on carefully and closely with ATLA's creators. This could become canon.
Thanks for the conversation then I suppose. If you actually read my comment, then I've succeeded in having a good conversation. If not, thanks for at least letting me express my opinion. I appreciate it.

If you're trying to insult me here, it's not really working. And when I read you're replies, I didn't sense an ounce of sarcasm. Oh, and excuse me for being oh so 'nitpicky'. I was just correcting your mistake. And, correct me if I'm wrong, didn't I ask you to leave me alone? Sorry if I'm being short, but that's just the way I am. If you don't like having conversations with people like me, then maybe you shouldn't start them in the first place.

Im not a huge fan of this comic series...I mean Zuko asking his dad for advice...he is not THAT stupid, he would rather ask Iroh. And they made Mai leave him!!! Like she would do that!!

I'm not seeing this comic as canon until they mend the broken Maiko ship, make Zuko quit listening to his dad, and fix all the other OOC stuff. It's all just ruining the nice ending the original series had.
And as cute as Tokka is, I don't think they're getting together... Or at least have a kid together. That would screw up Legend of Korra because Tenzin and Lin used to date, so if Lin was Sokka and Toph's kid, she'd be Tenzin's cousin... *shudder* And I hope Suki's not going to start loving Zuko behind Sokka's back. Then again, I actually don't know the context of that panel with her because I refuse to read this volume until I know all these issues are going to be resolved in the third and final part.
