This is the colored version of the Killjoys page. It was for a class assignment where we had to do a comic page in the style of an artist, so I tried Becky Cloonan's style, which was fun! I colored it later since the Killjoys have fun colors to work with anyways.Related content

Great job!! I love the pacing and yes, the colors really give it an edge. You did a wonderful job utilizing Becky Cloonan, who has a very distinct artistic style. She's such a great artist... you even have her brush touch inking. I wonder what she'd say if she saw this...?
I really love this---did you use any reference for the restaurant? Which of her work did you use to try and master her style?

I did use reference for the restaurant from MCR's video for Na Na Na (I watched it a bunch to get all the reference I needed). I was looking at her work on the issue of Batman she drew, the issue of Swamp Thing, the few things that were out at the time relating to the Killjoys, and some of her illustrations for Dracula (as well as the work she has posted online).
(also sorry for taking almost a year to answer this, wow time flies and I'm not on the internet enough!)

oh, man. I wish I saw her stuff on Dracula! and Batman--wasn't she the first female comic illustrator to do him??? so cool!
