haha yes X3 It's quite simple actually, when they arent trying to deceive anyone, their hair styles are both parted differently.
Hikaru's hair is parted on the right, our left, as in this pic.
Kaoru's is parted on the left, our right ^^

When they aren't being brats trying to mess with people's heads Hikaru's expressions are a bit different from Kaoru's too. To be honest though, the best way to tell them apart for me is their voices lol which does not help with pictures

but yeah with pix, its easier to tell by their hair--or kaoru is usually the one with the more innocent expression. when you hear them in the anime, u kno EXACTLY who it is lol

I like to play a game when I'm reading the manga or watching the anime and see if I can guess correctly which is which. Of course, that's a bust in the anime anymore with how often I've watched it lol

i used to get so confused with the two when i started watching it! So much so that it was bothering me. I was all like, "OMG FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHICH TWIN IS THIS?! "
But then i calmed down and eventually noticed differences lol

I started reading the manga after the anime. cuz on the last episode, i was all like, "what? they cant seriously end it right there!" I was completely dissatisfied, and even tho i figured who Haruhi would end up with really it was predictable, I did the same thing i did for Fruits Basket and read the manga from where the anime ended X3
I really liked the story and wish that the anime people didnt get lazy and end it where they did--i would have loved to have seen the rest of the story through anime rather than read the manga, but alas, i had to read it to get to the ending ^_^

So to shorten my answer, yes, i read the manga lol

lol That was pretty well why I started to read the manga. I own the entire series both anime and manga. I loooove the manga so much. I'm with you, I wish they would have done more instead of just ending it there.

they do that with soooo many 24-26 episode anime, so its sort of annoying X( I mean, some anime like that have satisfying enough endings, buuuuuut, some not so much...like Ouran and Fruits Basket haha
Thats why i respect full metal alchemist cuz they did another anime that followed the manga to the end.

Oh man, I think the ending to Fruits was worse than Ouran. I haven't read all of Fruits. I'm missing like 11 of the manga. I just haven't had the money to buy them or else I can't find them

But the ending was pretty good for fruits basket! it was like a quadrillion times better than what the anime gave us X3 I mean, theres actually a resolution haha

I kinda sorta know how it ends, just from what I've been told and bits and pieces I've picked up, but I want the whole story lol and its ok. I just need to try and save the money to get the rest of the manga like I did with Host Club
