Open a new layer and use the multiply setting to colour on top, it works a lot better. If you open a new layer and use the multiply setting you can colour with a shade of gray for doing shadows and shading and stuff~~~ It saves a ton of time! It's very helpful for me~~ If you need anymore help just ask ^^

I think you should take the lineart to another new layers and turn the layer mode to multiply.
Then color it at the back of the lineart layer.
If this doesn't work... try dA tutorials. Although it's in photoshop, I think the function is the same.
