.... x2Alright, this is pissing me off. When I pull something out of Photoshop it keeps screwing up the contrast and blurring the colors. Anyone experiencing this? Does Painter do that?

Maybe it's time to upgrade to a better photoshop, there might be a defect with that model.

.PNG usualy saves the quality.
i was reading the comments and changing it from .PSD to .JPEG is probably whats messing it up. if you really want to keep them as .JPEGs make sure the quality of them is set high.
in any event, the picture still looks great

I save them on 10-12 quality jpegs. I tried saving it as a png and it was about 300kb instead of 130kb and I couldn't notice a difference in the picture.

with colors he reminds on of hte twins from MAtrix reloaded , the colors are very nice. in special the shadow efect of the sword on his pants.

Sounds to me like you are having issues switching between CMYK and RGB colors

It might be the file format. I've had a few problems with the contrast and colors when converting between file formats, but other than that I can't think of what the problem might be.

I use a PSD then change it into a jpeg. Not much else you can post with I think. Other stuff is usually too big.

Yeah, I know... The file type may be the problem, though. I usually use PNG files for posting on dA, but I'm not sure if they improve the quality much.

mayb u use a different mode like rgb abd cmyk *or somethin lyk dat* it does change the colours a bit when ut ake them out of ps i think @_@ nice pic doh .come vist my gallery sometym?

RGB and CMYK are just how the colors are chosen/saved. CMYK is for printing, so I don't think that is affecting it.

I had some problems with colors on photoshop just the other day. No bluring but when I loaded the colors to the net they where totally different. . .I mean totally different.

Yes as a matter of fact, the resolution on my latest piece looks so nice and even on maximum quality the colors compress so badly ;_;

It's not just blurring/compressing it though, it's making the brightest colors not as bright, etc.

Oh yeah I know, like in my pic Red... I used 4 shades of red to pink but it looks like I only used 2 cause it blended them together or something >_<

On the corner of his shirt, like... top right, it was actually kind of glowing in Photoshop, then it seems dull outside of Photoshop. Maybe it just makes stuff brighter in Photoshop. >_> Going to screw around with painter and see if theres any difference.
