If you don't like the ship then don't look at the art. It's that simple,there's no need to made rude comments like this. Nothing is confirmed canon either so this doesn't even make sense.

Cute pink border (it gives the sense of her enveloping him even more); what'd you draw this in?

Thanks! I sketched this on paper and did everything else (lineart,colouring etc.) in Paint Tool SAI.

How'd you do that? Scan it or something? I draw a great deal better by hand than on my tablet (it tends to be shaky when it comes from my stylus), yet I can't import a scan without the lines looking weird. Did you just import it as a background and then trace it in SAI?

i took a picture of the sketch using my ipad (you can see it here:spaghetti-arts.tumblr.com/post⦠on my tumblr) then i saved the picture from there. Then i opened it as a new canvas in sai,lowered the opacity and did the lineart over it in a new layer! i hope that all made sense ; v ;

It did; that's been more or less my process on the rare occasions I've bothered to do real sketches. I'm just wondering - how do you manage to get the lines so clean? Mine usually come out too squiggly. Is there a special tool you use other than the brush, or is the caffeine really doing that much of a job on my ability to keep my hand steady?

My lines used to be super wobbly too,but i learned a nice trick that really helped: don't go slow with your lines. Do fast strokes until it comes out the way you like. It took me a bit to get used to it but it really helped when i got the hang of it!
