...now for something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TA-DA.Model: My friend ~SpottedPonyRider in her awesome kimono.
Taken at Shaw's Garden at the annual Japanese Festival.
(~SpottedPonyRider , her sister and their friend wore their kimonos and looked gorgeous; I wore jeans + a tshirt, carried all their stuff and took random pictures. It was fun. ^^ )
Messed with color/saturation etc in photoshop, but it was mostly ~SpottedPonyRider looking purdy :3

I think your artwork is fabulous, *Sastrei, so don't get me wrong when I say you oughta do a LOT more photography! You've got such an eye for form and composition and contrast! This pic has haunted my memory since I first saw it in your gallery.
Cripes, *Sastrei, when you're carved out of a solid block of Artist, as you obviously are, no medium can resist your special vision. The subject doesn't make a great photo, the light doesn't make it, the camera doesn't make it, PhotoShop doesn't make it--only the artist's eye makes it. You've got the magic!

When I first saw this, I honestly thought you had taken a trip to Japan and took pictures. (Or at least went the cheaper route and went to "Japan" in Disney World's Epcot. Hah hah) It's a magneficent picture as well, you're quite talented behind the camera. You should take more pictures. :3

It was actually really funny, the japanese festival, because every 5 seconds I'd be like, "HOLD IT! RIGHT THERE! DON'T FRIGGING MOVE!" and snap a picture. Other people there were like, wtf?

Very beautifully done! You have a real eye for photography, and it looks almost more like a very elaborate painting than an actual photograph. The theme is very Japanese; it reminds me of Japan's prints that were done by various Japanese artists. Toning down the colors was a good idea (I'm assuming that's what you did). If you kept it at the same hues, there would probably be too many bright colors, and the overall tranquil mood from this would've been slightly damaged. Also, the general composition of the photo was done very well. By not having your friend, the focal point, in the center of the picture, you can also see the walkway that leads your eyes through the rest of the area. Overall, this picture has a professional touch to it.

Quick talented photography right there! Flows nicely and I like the colors, excessive shadows and the stone path with leads your eyes ;3. Also, meg is off to one side, letting you really examine the composition!
