Description I do realize that the amount of noodles I consume is borderline irresponsible

There's 2 version of Chinese soy noodles : a hot and a cold one. This is the hot one. I'm not really fond of the sauce cause it tastes a bit bitter, so I decided to have some chicken nuggets nearby to ease the mastication process

Thanks! Though the composition was a fluke cause I shot rather quickly and didn't think much of it

It can't be *that* bad. Did I tell you about my run-in with "Stinking Tofu" in Taipei?

Let's just say it deterred my affection for noodles for a while. Which, come to think of it, might just be a good thing

I believe I've not had the pleasure. Do tell

Oh dear...

Do you want the background as well? it might help to explain how such a thing came to be...

You: Hmmmm, well, that's OK I guess; I wonder what they would make of Taiwanese "Stinking Bean Curd"?

Me: Stinking tofu? I've heard the likes of it but I've never tried it! I'm familiar with regular smelling tofu though

You: Stinking Bean Curd: cut tofu into 3/4 inch chunks, soak in warm water for 24 hours, drain and sprinkle fungus spores all over it, cover with a damp cloth and park it in a warm corner of the kitchen for 24 hours while the fungus has it's way with it, place in a wok with cold oil and slowly heat until the tofu is fried a medium golden brown. It smells and tastes like 3-day old roadkill.

LOL I KNEW I've seen you mention it once! But it was a vague memory so I tracked it down from the notesies. Voila!
