I want to major in illustration (after I transfurrr) because I want the VARIETY, you know? I really love painting though (and I wonder what sort of job I'd be able to find if I tried to make myself into a decent painter. I think the options would be limited..)
IDK esp after hearing a lot of the stories my prof has told me (he clashed with some of his profs because MODERN ART IS ALL THE RAGE and he did mostly figures, animals and landscapes) Me personally, I want to learn the fundamentals and learn to make decent art that~ tells a story waah

I think right now, it's hard to make a living doing art period? BUT IDK sob I honestly love painting because I genuinely want to improve soooOOo badly.. I just would think if you're pursuing painting as a career, it'd be hard to find a regular job/something that wasn't just showing in galleries or working from commissions.. but again, I really have no idea

Ahh thanks, that means a lot! The anatomy here is iffy in spots but it felt NICE CELL-SHADING something full-body after painting just portraits haha
