I have commissions I should be working on but I got a sudden craving for the feeling of a brush in my hand and the friction of hair against paper, and this fan has been sitting half-finished on my desk for two months because something was off and I finally figured out how to fix it and it was very moving. Arcanine is my favorite Pokemon, so I had to paint some eventually.I was terrified the whole time because I've been suffering from really bad insomnia the last few days and I'm so tired but I did it! I feel miserable but I can still do art after all! And calligraphy, too. I've been taking a class that requires practicing Japanese calligraphy so I put that to use to help the composition and it worked.~ I used two colors for extra fiery-ness.
Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how this came out and I feel much better about myself. Hopefully I can get myself to paint a lot more over spring break next week. I have an exchange program in Japan to pay for after all.~
