Description A common African civet was the idea here, but it seems to have taken a steroid that bloated its figure to a severe bulk and undergone a mutation that inflated its ears to twice their normal size. I'll be listing him on eBay pretty soon, at which time I'll link to his listing here for the curious. :>

Edit: [link] Thur we go, big guy has been put for grabs. And he looks so much cuter in a jungle setting! x)

Your plushies are absolutely adorable. Do you take commissions? I read some other comments but I couldn't find prices. I was just wondering how much they would be. (B

Do you make your own patterns for these? If you alter it, from which pattern? Thanks! It looks great!

:> the patterns are from scratch. (there's no other explanation for their rampant flaws!)

Flaws? You kidding me? I'd buy these offa you if I weren't so broke right now!!!
Any tips on how to make patterns for these? Any books to read beforehand, any courses to take ( I can already sew but haven't attempted the world of stuffed animals yet!)?

haha haven't found any books or tutorial resources for plush making yet, but a stuffed animal kit with instructions/patterns is the closest i can think of to that. but here's my response to candykornkita for advice on getting started. [link]

Don't be so hard on yourself! Plushies aren't supposed to be /absolutely/ perfect! Otherwise they'd all look the same and no one would think they were cute.

i'm sorry, what? it is a plush's JOB in life to be perfect, who wants to cuddle or display a jumble of fabrics unintelligibly thrown together? oh wait, forgot who i was talking to... (pshh jk xD)

nuh-no, he has a valid excuse for being imperfect being my like, third or fourth crack at it. once we reach fifteen and i still haven't got it, we'll know something's seriously wrong. ^_^

Oh. I guess i'm the only person in the world who prefers flaws in something, cause i don't like everything being identical and monotonous. I like to say "I have the same thing, but mine's cooler because something is wrong with it."

Kinda like how i like you as my Sempai.

you're talking to a rabid perfectionist, mari-chan. i believe we differ greatly on the appeal of flaws. quirks and asymmetry work for me now and then, though.

and heeey... was that a shot?

xD Yup. I don't have a drive for perfection, i'm too.. 'laid back' shall we say?
And of course not.. x]
