...buuuut it was mostly inspired by the fact that in the AU where Mario and Luigi don't die as infants and grow up in Brooklyn, Rocco's (Mario) favorite movie is Ghostbusters.

I don't do much with perspective or dramatic lighting but every time I do, it's a challenging yet rewarding experience!

In all seriousness, though, this is very nice work, Red! I feel that there could have been a bit more shadows on the left side of the characters (our right) to even out the highlights, but I do like the composition and color combinations. Keep up the good work!

yea I toyed with the idea of adding darker shadows, but I really wanted to limit myself to at least three different tones, maybe four, in some places, to keep it from looking too busy. but I definitely see what you're saying!

Yeah, I've done challenges like that before myself, but even with the limited amount of tones you can still darken or lighten them, unless you're saying that you wanted to keep them their base colors, in which case... that is very challenging... so I applaud you for taking it on!
