[Romantic/Cultured]
A good deal of Pike's earliest childhood memories are of his mother telling whispered stories and murmuring hushed songs to her kits while they slept - or when she thought they were sleeping at least. Pike grew to love the stories initially due to the sound of his mother's voice and began to insist she begin telling her tales while he and his siblings were awake as well. Most of these stories were about grand adventures and epic romances that absolutely fascinated the kits; they also proved to have a profound effect on Reed's views of romance in regards to his own future, as well as clan culture in general.
- Pike often dreams of what his future might hold in the romance department, but has never actively sought out a potential mate, believing the universe will bring the right she-cat to him at the appropriate time. Romance is not always on his mind, but it is one thing that has been deeply ingrained in the ideals and morals that drive him day-to-day. When the moment does come, he intends to be a loving, respectful, generous mate, and wants the same thing in return.
- While he never could get his mother to tell him if the stories were true or not, Pike decided that regardless if they had been or not, they were very important to pass down. As an important part of his childhood and future, he see the stories like fables that help one to understand not only themself but their culture as well. Pike loves to look into the past and learn the clan's history; it is more difficult to learn, but he does dedicate some of his studies to learning about the other clans as well.
[Hopeful]
While he doesn't not consider himself and optimist, and maybe wouldn't go so far as to say he is an idealist, Pike does hope for the best for the clan; unless circumstances are horrifically dire, he prefers to think of the future as turning out well, even if the absolute best doesn't come out of every situation. This often helps when the chief grows worried, allowing Pike to reassure him in the kindest manner possible.
[Gentlemanly/Well-Mannered]
Despite the mild cultural superiority of toms over she-cats, Pike is always courteous to the female members of the clan. He treats every clan member with respect, but makes it a particular point for the she-cats, something his mother always insisted upon, throwing in lessons of etiquette of her own while her kits were apprentices. Pike always keeps this in mind, thinking he would want other toms to treat his mother and sisters with just as much respect as he afford theirs.
[Strong-Willed]
Pike is not easily manipulated which allows him to stick to his own personal morals and ideals, making him a strong leader type. However it also makes it nearly impossible to change his mind, which can be detrimental at times. It takes a lot of convincing to sway his opinion and may usually only be done by someone he trusts or respects highly.
[Ambitious/Determined]
There is always room to improve and always something new to learn. Pike is most often seen practicing and honing his skills when he is not seeing to his duties, telling himself that no one is perfect so he shouldn't stop trying to better himself just because he accomplished something.
[Intuitive]
Gut feelings are an important part of Pike's decision making process. Even if one option seems right in a logical sense, if it doesn't feel right for any reason he will voice caution against it. He desires to do what is best for the clan on an emotional and moral level. His intuition can sometimes cause him to make split second decisions, even about other cats. Whenever his intuition does turn out to be wrong, it can still take a long time and grand action to make him realize his mistake.
[Shy/Bashful]
Despite dreaming of having a mate someday, Pike finds himself too shy to speak to she-cats on a more personal level, hiding behind his duties to avoid accidentally making a fool of himself. Discussions relating to the topic also make him nervous and he will either walk away or try to find ways to change the subject.
Pike also finds public displays of affection highly inappropriate. Even if he had a mate/potential mate himself, he wouldn't go around making goo goo eyes and such in front of other cats and would put a stop to any attempts at affection from his mate that were not okay for the time and place, possibly even at the risk of seeming rude or hurting her feelings.
[Judgmental]
Despite his mother always telling him “Don’t judge a cat by its pelt”, Pike makes snap judgments about nearly every cat he meets, barring a few exceptions. It takes a few moments and a short conversation and he’d decided what their like, probably why they behave the way they do, and how he feels about it. If he sees a cat doing something he doesn't agree with or appreciate, he takes a disliking to them. Sometimes this is useful, such as when encountering someone who is truly an enemy, but can put him on bad terms with an ally without the other party even knowing why.
[Impatient]
Because he is able to make decisions quickly - though not always for the better - Pike has a hard time with cats who need more than a few moments to figure things out. While he does try his best, he can sometimes snap when things don't get done quickly enough in his opinion. He can feel bad about it later - the snapping bit at least, as slowness still irritates him. This is something he is trying to work on, as he wants to be more understanding and accepting of his clan mates.
[Argumentative]
As discovered by his mentor Slate, Pike is unwillingly to take any answer, excuse, or explanation without evidence behind it and will argue to his wits end to get to the bottom of things. As an apprentice he would often demand to know why he had to do something or why certain moves needed to be done in a certain manner before doing them at all. This stubbornness can bring progress to a screeching halt when it is most inconvenient.

Bending
Water Ball||Similar to the bubble technique and the ice prison technique, a waterbender can trap their opponent in a ball of water.||
Water Whip||The water whip is a commonly used move that involves creating a lashing tendril of water to swipe at an opponent. The shape, size, and length are all determined by a waterbender's control, and more powerful benders can create larger whips, or ones of greater finesse. The whip can be sharpened into a blade that can slice through metal with relative ease.||
Phase Change||Waterbenders also possess the ability to alter the physical state of the water they manipulate, between liquid, solid and gas, at will.||
Ice Dagger||Much like ice claws, ice daggers form on a waterbender's fingers and shoot at high speeds away from him or her.||
Ice Floor||With a sufficient amount of water a master can cover a large area of the ground with ice, trapping enemies' feet in ice and allowing the waterbender to slide around.||
Breath of Ice||A waterbender can use their breath to rapidly freeze objects, such as metallic chains, or an opponent. For a more advanced version of the technique, the user takes a deep breath and exhales the air as a cloud of freezing mist.||

Brief Backstory:Chapter One
Ripple was nothing extraordinary as far as members of the WaterClan go, being one cat who did not have power over her clan's element. Still the gray she-cat had a love of water, spending her free time nearby whatever water source she could find, fascinated by the abilities so many of her peers possessed. Socializing was not her strong suit despite her gift for storytelling and so she was usually alone, content to watch the waterbenders as they fished, hunted, fought, and even played. There was one among them, a golden brown tom appropriately named Fisher not much older than her, who particularly caught her eye. At an initial glance he seemed obnoxious, conceited, maybe even rude, but it only took a few moments longer to see past it; his obnoxious behavior was only liveliness, self involvement really confidence and maybe just a little too much pride, and what at first appeared as rudeness was honesty - brutal honesty maybe - and an openness that Ripple thought could only come from an immense amount of courage. To her, Fisher was everything she wasn't, increasing the mysterious draw she felt to this tom.
One day she even dared to venture closer than ever before to the group of water benders, close enough to see the smallest movements of their paws. Too close as she soon found out when she lost her footing on the slippery bank, and felt the frigid water closing over her head.
Ripple was rescued of course, by none other than the object of her admiration. The she-cat couldn't have been more mortified by her moment of clumsiness, but Fisher barely took note of her obvious embarrassment.
Chapter Two
As fate would have it, one thing lead to another and soon the pair were betrothed and thoroughly devoted to each other for life. It wasn't many moons after the fact that the couple welcomed their first litter of kits. Among them was a light golden tom they gave the name Pike in honor of his tabby coat. It soon became clear that the kit was fascinated by everything, begging to hear more about even the smallest details in the stories told to him by his mother, gradually feeding his desire for knowledge as he grew. When he wasn't running around getting under the paws of cats going about their business, he was snuggled safely in his mother's paws, eyes wide with wonder as she spun her tales. Of course the ones with important messages stuck with Pike, but his favorite story to hear was the one about his own mother and father.
The little tom had inherited his father's bending abilities and showed a lot of promise, though he put forth very little time into the skill until it came time for he and his littermates to be apprenticed. His training was entrusted to a stout gray and white tom named Slate. He was an older cat, but very strong and a skilled bender. With his help, Pike took to his lessons like a fish to water, a little guidance going a long way to help the rambunctious young tom hone his focus. One of the biggest draw backs to his training however was his great tendency to argue with his mentor; he was never content to just accept things and answers like "because I said so" infuriated him to no end. As a result it would often times take longer for him to get through a training session that it should have, but with the upside to gaining a better tactical knowledge base than he would have otherwise, something Slate eventually took great pride in, having suspected the young tom would be that sort of cat from the start.
Apprentice and mentor got along well, but Pike was lacking in the way of real friends; he was friendly with most of the clan for sure, only there was no one he felt truly closer too than anyone else that was not family. Both Slate and Pike hoped that would change with time. After the months of training it took for him to be advance, Reed and his siblings were made into warriors, but not before taking on the challenge of ice dodging.
At the insistence of all of his sister's Pike was coerced into going first, and so he stood beside the frozen river staring at the tower of ice made by the waterfall. Under different circumstances in the winter he thought this might be a nice place to relax and simply enjoy the beauty the cold had to offer that the other clans didn't seem to notice; instead of relaxing however, he could feel the pressure of the event beginning to build, making his legs shake and tail quiver.
"You'll do just fine." Slate whispered to him as he passed, forming the bloke of ice for his apprentice with a flick of his large paw. While the encouragement didn't calm Pike entirely, he found the ability to nod as he stepped up to the edge of the river. "You may begin whenever you're ready."
Mossy eyes narrowed in concentration, Pike flicked his tail back and forth a few times, testing the block's resistance against the opposing frosty surface, lifting and clenching his paw to smooth it down. With the friction reduced he propelled the block forward, looking upriver as he moved along the bank, his confidence beginning to grow with every step.
Chapter Three (In Progress)
Throughout his admittedly short life, Pike saw himself as a protector of the small, having grown into his paws that were previously much too large for his body; this only increased as time went on and his parents continued to bring new young siblings into the world. The tom's obstinate nature had him following kits around to ensure their safety, even when they were perfectly safe under the watchful eye of their mother. Despite now being a warrior his mentor continued to give his former pupil advice, most often saying things like "don't take on too much responsibility, you'll spread yourself too thin - leave something for the rest of us to do." Pike took the advice, but instead of taking on fewer tasks he took on different ones, turning his attention towards the kits in a more playful direction.
In the time it took for Ripple and Fisher to bring a third litter into the world, Pike was easily described as dedicated and lacking in some social graces. Thankfully he is very aware of the fact and is seeking to build relationships with his clanmates besides the daily routine of work and duties. He has longed for an apprentice of his own to help mold into a warrior, but having yet to receive one has driven him deeper into his tasks, wanting to be his absolute best self if and when the opportunity arises.

This forest was one of the more pleasant places to be on the Island, at least in Lukan's opinion. Personally he loved the Silver Wood in a way he didn't quite understand. Typically his fancy leaned towards more open spaces where he could run freely and see the sky, but something about walking between the shimmering trees put him at peace in a way the stars never had. He even felt safe here, unlike the brief period he had spent patrolling the Forbidden Forest; there was very little sense of menacing here and it was a great relief to at least be relaxed somewhat during his wondering.
Like many of the other knights, war preparations were beginning to run him into the ground, not to mention the fact that he was constantly surrounded by no less than what he would call a crowd, despite it truthfully only being five or so other horses. Still it felt like too much and he was determined to treasure this respite, making the most of his time. Turning his head so that his mane shook around him, Lukan swivled his ears, but heard nothing but the light trickle and flow of a spring alongside him. A soft smile pulled at his face as he carefully stepped into the stream enjoying the feeling of water rushing over his hooves. I might as well follow this. It's as good a path as any. The stallion thought to himself, then started off at an easy walk, letting the water guide his steps.
