While drawing this picture, I was listening to California - O. C. California opening.I know you like naruto and possibly this pairing, but please understand I moved on, am drawing something different in a different style and personally I do not like this pairing that much - this was a drawing for a friend.
It happens to me often that people use this artwork for youtube videos without my permission.
Please DONT do this. Do NOT use my artwork without my permission.
Seen this picture elsewhere, reposted in a video etc? Dont notify me about it. I dont want to deal with reporting every single one of them. Use the reporting system on DA or on other pages.

Beautiful drawing, may I ask why is this on your scraps? It's really great drawn and the colouring is simple (can't be other way due to their clothing, ^^) but envolves the scene

You know hon... I don't fancy this coupling either but I would never judge a picture based off that. So I'm sorry for whatever negative comments you got because this is really an amazing picture done right. People are such jerks these days. They look at something and immediately judge it without properly critiquing it just because it doesn't suit their personal preference. You did the expressions wonderfully, the coloring is amazing, and their anatomy is right on

I'm sorry, I believe I'm the real thief in this situation ><
Your friend Kiterie/SumiHatake wrote to me about what was going on and I realized that I did use your photo in my video without receiving permission.
MY video was made back when I was young and stupid, used photobucket and didn't understand a thing about copyrighting, and now I can see that I went about making my videos in a terrible manner by not giving credits to the artists that made the pictures I used. I chose this picture because I absolutely love it and think that it is beautiful; now as I look at all the other great work you've done I can see that I should have asked your permission before using your photo and linked back to you so that others could see your other amazing stuff as well.
So, Khanashika and anyone else who has wrongly accused Saniika, I want to make it clear that I am at fault for stealing her work, and she is blameless.
I really apologize both for not asking and for causing all this trouble, and so now I'd like to officially ask for permission to use your photo in my video, and I would be very glad to link back to you in the description so that everyone can see the other awesome work that you do.
If you would not like me to use the photo, I will take my video down immediately in respect of that. I do truly hope that you can accept my apology and allow me to showcase your wonderful artwork in my video.

Thank you for writing me - honestly Id love to close this "theft" issue already. I understand youre reasons, we all started somehow somewhere, the best fact is we LEARNED from our mistakes, right?
This is actually one of the reasons, why I dont like when people take my part without permission - such situations occur than and its not at ALL pleasant for me.
I dont care anymore what you would do, but its nice you considered to clear this issue - id like you to ask, to add credits not only for me, but for the other authors as well into every video you made (I have no idea how many videos or which you made - I havent checked any) - who knows what basher will come out to pester other artists? Lets spare them this experience, shall we?
I doubt that the Khanashika will ever read your explanation, but franky I dont give a damn about her as much as she gives damn about this theft-trolling.

Yeah I used to watch you way back when. I didn't stop watching you just because you stopped drawing Naruto I just well was getting overloaded with a bunch of stuff in my inbox that I found I didn't have time for so even though I love your art I stopped watching you. I still think you art is very pretty.

I always will, it's a classic KakaIru pic, seriously it's damn near iconic with how often it shows up in videos and what not. People adore it. If you ever decide to sell the original let me know.

I wasnt aware of the "classic" fact, I really werent, but anyway it makes me sad people take my pictures without permissions.
I could make you a new picture with these two (commission - it would be interesting to try to draw them after so many years)but this picture was made as a gift for friend (and given to her), it cannot be sold

Well I try to be nice to people in general but particularly those who do something nice for the KakaIru community and allowing this to be a part of the DA group is nice. Besides back when I did watch you, you were always very nice.
Yeah I've seen it in videos... It always makes me shake my head and I'm sure it's on photobucket. They don't mean to be idiots but I think people in general have trouble finding the original artists because photobuckettards like to crop the sigs off. It's the photobucket people who annoy me. the people making videos don't claim credit where as the photobuckettards often will.
It is classic. People love your picture and I think they always will. Even if they don't like the pairing I think there is just something about this particular one that makes a person smile.
She's lucky. hehe I'll keep that in mind. I would love to have you do something for them though. I just have to figure out when I can afford it. I'm commissioning ~Fox4859 to turn a story of mine into a doujin at the moment (well the she's doing the second part of the doujin) which is a little expensive so I have to limit how often I commission people. And well I just spent a fortune to go to yaoicon. I do squeak them in occasionally though. It's just figuring out when I can. Maybe around my birthday (Feb) I can.

EXACTLY! Thats why I like it when people ask for permission - I can make sure they give link back tome, so other people can see more of my other art. From personal experience I am always sad I cant identify the name of artist I like, and its so hard to find a picture from them - let alone writing them a aspirational comment! (I managed to write once a person in Japan using online translators and we actually understood each other a little - she was so happy! XD)
Maybe I give it a go again with that song - cant promise if this will be naruto fanart or not, but id like to work again with that music in mind.
Btw. I remember when I drew Kakairu I met lot of people of older age (not teens) which were very nice and mature - I guess I had luck back than <3 (I wonder what is now with them and how are they doing *thinking*)

As the wife of a hacker... I find that highly unlikely. Sad but true. Stupid, selfish, rude, inconsiderate assholes are the most likely overlords when the end days come. Not that hackers are all bastards or well any of those things but when you look at it from a hacker's pov and you look at the sheer numbers of people who fit that description and how many politicians fit that description etc... the probability that intelligent, socially minded, considerate people will rule the world at any point becomes very slim. If we're lucky we'll end up with bastards who are intelligent and socially minded if not very nice. Even that possibility is vastly lower than the other.
If I see it hun I will make sure to comment to them with a link to the picture like I do when I see them using *Lenap 's works. I talk to a few people that I have to use online translators with sometimes. Lenap is Russian and while she knows English sometimes hers is limited so she and I will use translators to help clarify things or find words.
The lack of asking people for permission is why I don't post original fiction online. Once I feel I'm ready I'll send it to my friend who's an author (and has been kicking my ass about finishing an original piece) and she'll beta it and send it to her editor/publisher. I don't worry too much about people taking credit for my fanfiction though I think my readers would tell me if they saw it because I've had some of them go "this Kiterie person posted your stuff" (it's my alt) and vice versa about this username. Which is nice to know. I think it's harder for artists though I'm not sure exactly why that is.
A lot of the KakaIru fans are older. I've noticed that too. Even if it's turns out not to be Naruto fanart I'm sure it will be lovely. You're work is very pretty to look at.
Mission Iruka is actually quite popular. It's my most popular story and was my first and honestly IMO not my best (at least I hope I've improved) but I commissioned for the first volume as a thank you to the fans who've encouraged and supported me but with her school and such and then now her job she wasn't able to continue so I got fox to help me do the second part and Lenap is doing the third. But it's really slow going because I don't want bits of the story missing. It's hard work for both a writer and an artist and even dividing it between several of us. I had help on the original story from my real life best friend and there will be 3 main artist and then I have another girl that I'm friends with :allyoucaneater: who did the title page (inside cover) who'll I'll probably ask to do that again for the next two volumes... but well even with multiple people working on it it's a lot of work. I put everything together so that it can be printed and make sure the formatting works and what not which is amazingly frustrating. But it'll be worth it to see it all done and it's a nice way to say thank you to the fans.
You know if you ever want help with scripting or writing the story for something original or even fandom related(not just naruto), feel free to ask hun. If I can help I will. I know a lot of artists have a hard time trying to do it all. The story, the scripting, the editing, the art... it's a LOT of work for one person.
That's the way to look at it in my opinion. ^.^ Besides a couple months isn't that far away. I just keep forgetting or I have artist friends who fall on hard times and then I'm like "I have to help them!" (I wonder if I have a hero complex haha)
I'm going to watch you again and just uncheck all the boxes except the friend one. ^.^ You're such a sweet fun person to talk to.

Do you have a link to this video? Her picture was submitted October 26, 2006 according to the deviantart information (posted right next to the picture), so unless you give a link showing a video posted BEFORE that date then your argument holds no water.

I would be very careful with accusations. I have the original drawing and I can deliver it as proof. I am certainly sure I have NOT done any copyart of any existing Kakashi/Iruka picture - being that said, its impossible you could have seen a video with My artwork sooner than in year 2006.

I just think it's very odd how I saw this picture years ago, and you're just uploading it now. And that, judging from your gallery, neither the drawing nor the colors match your style and as far as I can tell, you have never once drawn and colored a picture of Iruka and Kakashi looks much different in this picture than any other Kakashi you have drawn.

My dear, Saniika didn't steal anything - she actually GAVE me this picture as a present years ago and I have the original in my VERY OWN HANDS.

I saw the video, but I saw the original picture sooner, it was a gift for a KakaIru fan/friend who me and the artist both know. The friend has the original, so sorry, you are wrong and we can prove it. As for the piece not matching the usual style, it was one of the first (if not first) she has drawn with this pairing, so she was experimenting with their looks and trying to find her own interpretation of them. An artist evolves in time, so later they naturally look different. By the way, in the right part of your screen when you click at the picture, you can see the details to the picture and there is written the date, when it was submitted.
Hope this has cleared all your doubts.

You've got balls telling an artist that they are a thief on their own comment thread WITHOUT providing proof or even a link to the YouTube video that you are referencing. Honestly, what do you hope to accomplish with that other than to start a flame? Protecting artistic copyright is important (including those of the vidder that you are purporting to stand up for) but arm yourself with FACTS before you go off accusing someone. All you've done here is commit libel.
