I feel like you're using a slightly new approach for colouing? (light and hues illuminating from the background ). It makes the charas more incorporated into the scene, looks amazing! (I might be imagining this, but similar style u used here: www.deviantart.com/art/Sugar-5… )

Thanks! This one was first and Sugar is follow up or pair to it. Its from the same story, since its a love triangle. Its a different way of coloring than I normally do, so I was glad I could do it again.

Thanks! I started with pale base color as undertone and left spaces left when shading - then the shading colors mixed with the blue, so it created nice blends!

I absolutely adore the softness of this. I'm not sure if it's due to the colors, the way it's so painterly loose or the fact that the linework is partly obscured by the coloring (or all three) but the end result is very pleasing :]
