Made with HB pencil, colored pencil and fineliner on A4 sized paper.Colors in original looks better. So maybe I will update it.

I am going to a language course and deal with a lot of people. None of the muslims there card about what I believe in and are'nt even interested in discussing in, although some of them I know are very believing.
The only people who tried to convert me where two catholics who insisted that I should attend church, and in the end told me that they were gonna pray for my soul.

Haha not sure. It intended to be sort of 'fuck you and your book of fairytales" but it can also be the total opposite. which I think most people will think. But then again most of my drawings have multiple interpretations and sometimes I don't even know what's happening

Ik vraag me ook af hoe dit er uit zou zien als het geschilderd was, met olieverf bijv., volgens mij ook te gek!

Dank je wel! Ik denk dat het wel mooi zou worden, helaas kan ik (nog) niet schilderen. Wil olieverf wel een keer proberen in de toekomst maar lijkt me wel lastig als je gewend bent klein te tekenen en meestal zwart wit. Ook omdat je dan in lagen werkt en het steeds moet laten drogen.

ja, olieverf is best lastig & werken in lagen is inderdaad best irritant (ik smokkel vaak door met acrylverf te beginnen & 't daarna uit te diepen met olie) en heel gedetaileerde dingen moet je misschien soms vermijden, maar mocht je het ooit gaan proberen, het zou vast te gek zijn!
Ik vind dat je een goeie en zeer eigen tekenstijl hebt, en ik vroeg 't me hard op af, hoe dat eruit zou zien als schilderijen..

Ja inderdaad het is ook erg wennen. Ik teken meestal erg chaotisch van de ene naar andere kant en als ik dan wil schilderen en dan meer gestructureerd te werk moet gaan loop ik snel vast. Ik heb wel met acryl wat gekloot maar was cheap ass verf en toen ik zwart en wit mengde werd het paars...
Dank je wel dat waardeer ik erg! In de loop van tijd probeer ik steeds meer dingen naast potlood dus wie weet komt het er wel. Wil sowieso wel gaan schilderen in de toekomst maar probeer eerst met andere middelen meer te leren werken met kleur.

I came a logger heads with people like that when i began researching deeper in to evolution and human ancestry. Along the way there were a select few who just didn't like the fact that I was spreading my intellectual wings and asking for real answers to big questions. Shame really, The world is a much more interesting place when you ask HOW/WHY? and don't settle for fairy tale answers.

Yeah they want to stay naive and block out every other truth because it will scare them or push them out of their comfort zone. I'm glad I didn't go to a religious school and being raised without religion. Must be hard for you to look further when nobody's wants to know about it. Yes there is so much more then that

up until the age of 11 i was at "christian" schools... they made us pray, sing hymns and listen to passages from the bible everyday from the age of 3. At the time i believed it because it was what the adults said... so must be true! That's 3year old logic for you
Luckily I had enough sense later on in life to go looking for answers that actually made sense.
However, some haven't been able to escape from their indoctrinated past and continue to believe the lies, even today. It's like a virus infecting the young, vulnerable and impressionable. That's why religion annoys me really, because it's been forced down my throat all through my childhood. It scares me to think what could have been, if I hadn't bothered to look beyond the stories.
There needs to be a separation of Church and government in this country, like there is in America.. they have no business poisoning young minds like that.

And the children who are indoctrinated will probably do the same to the next generation because they don't know better. Yeah a child always believes their parents on a young age. How can a goverment and religion still be together it's something from the past. Well there are places were people can't do research or take a decision what to belief because they will risk their life. It's so sad.

In this country the mixing of church and government apparently lead to the Iraq war. Tony Blair is reported to have said that "God" told him it was the right thing to do. That is the sort of bullshit that you can get away with if you say "God told me to"
I face palmed straight away when I heard it ahah.
This is true, I'm lucky really because I've been allowed to escape from religion, but much of the Arab/muslim world is managing to keep possible Atheists quiet, with the threat of death for apostasy. It's a humanitarian crisis in my opinion.
