Loosely inspired by Frodo's voiceover dialogue at the end of Jackson's Return of the King. It's just a little scene I had in my head when the hobbits return to find their beloved Shire desolate and ravaged by Saruman. Even Merry and Pippin, no longer innocents but now captains and warriors realize that their world will never be quite the same as it was, no matter how hard they try to put things right.11 x 15 inches

Amazing likenesses! Merry looks really noble here and I like that Pippin is ruminating over his old scarf, like he's remembering his former innocence.
