This beautiful picture has been on my laptop, on and off, for more than a year. I still find new details in it.
I love the magical communication circles with the glyphs. I see a man on the right evidently healing his friend, who is leaning against him. I love the sun setting (or rising) above the defeated, blasted, frozen enemy. And what are their steeds? They have beaks and so are not griffins, but neither are they hippogriffs, because their mammalian heads are more bat-like.
This is an awesome painting and I want to know more about this tribe, coven or regiment.

they are meant to be griffins. Half eagle half lion.
I always intended them to be the magical corps/regiment of a fantasy kingdom somewhere. They are sent to deal with stuff related to magic and they ride griffins. You can see the girl and her griffin in various of my other artworks.

The one the mage is using with the e in the center. Do you by chance know what it is and where it's from? This is the 3rd place I've seen it over the years (or ones very similar to it), and I have yet to identify it.
