DETAILS
PERSONALITY: There seems to be something not quite right with Stygg; she's very subtle and aloof, and she's capable of adopting any personality or attitude to benefit her to whatever interaction she finds herself in. She's secretive and manipulative, but you would probably never guess that about her. She's careful to maintain a pristine image of a perfect princess, even if it means pretending that her pride is not as strong as it is. Don't let her charm fool you though; if you do happen to catch her on a bad side, her sharp tongue and withering glare could be the least of your worries. It's a little difficult to feel completely at ease around Stygg. The air feels loaded and tense at times, and it's not uncommon to find her staring at you while you were looking away. If she were not a princess- and a beautiful one at that- others may be more comfortable steering clear of her. Stygg doesn't particularly like fawns; they annoy her and they're far too energetic and playful. Then again, there's not much that she does like... except handsome Lords, and herself of course.
APPEARANCE: Stygg is delicate and lithe, with a bright cremello coat and minimal spotting across her hips. Her mane and tail used to be braided with flowers, as was the typical standard for most princesses, but she ditched the elegant updo for a style that was a little more surprising. Her mane and tail are twisted into a cascade of thick, snow-white dreads. Rather than blooms and vines, she prefers to wear arrangements of brightly-colored leaves and red berries. She feels this fits her appearance and her attitude much more accurately.
HISTORY: Stygg seemed to have bad luck right from the beginning. Her father passed away shortly after her birth; she doesn't remember him, but knows that it was assumed to be because of his old age. She was the last of his fawns to be born. Her mother spoiled her rotten, since Stygg was her only daughter. But even her mother eventually succumbed to a vicious and spontaneous illness when Stygg was 3. Being orphaned, Stygg was handed off to another Princess and their family to be raised until she came of age. Stygg never found herself able to be comfortable with them. It was all simply very unfortunate circumstances... until it began to appear like something more sinister. When Stygg was 5, she was betrothed to a handsome young Lord, as was Glenmore tradition. She was content for the most part. Lord Haitia was intelligent, strong, and very traditional. They tried to conceive on her first rut; surprisingly, it took, though Stygg lost the fawn only a few short weeks later. Her peers pitied her, but Stygg wrinkled her nose at their sympathy. She despised being patronized or feeling as though others thought she was somehow lesser or incapable. In truth, the miscarriage didn't affect her all that much. After all, she had never enjoyed being around fawns, and only chose to mate because it was what was expected of her.
Then, in the spring of 771, Lord Haitia was attacked and killed while strolling outside the Glenwood with a personal guard. For days, guards tried to track down the assailants, but could never find any sign of them. They weren't sure if it was a predator, or raiders.
Now, with four mysterious deaths seemingly linked to Stygg, others have stopped feeling sorry for her and have started feeling wary of her; not because they believe she may have had any part in any of the deaths, but because it seems as though the young princess must be haunted or cursed. Stygg finds it easier this way anyhow; so long as she receives the respect that is owed to her, she could care less what others believe. All she's really concerned with is her own status and who she will be promised to next.
