It could be taken as a commentary of the New Orleans flooding after Katrina.

this is a lovely shot.... he looks quite cheeky.. like he's having a little rest before he flies off and carries out he duties. I also love the angle and the depth the water adds to him. Nice.

Beautiful shot, Debbie! ^^ And, I also love how dark the skies look, in the background.

No problem. ^^ And, haha- I always like it whenever it rains during a good photo shoot. It always gives the pic, a more gloomier atmosphere to me.
Oh, there's a pretty nice city cemetery here in Big Spring, and my mom and I went there while it was raining one afternoon.
We got some awesome shots and even saw a rabbit jumping across one of the graves! The little turd ended up scaring my mom and I half to death, though. xD

I've not seen anything for a very long time that's played with my mind's eye like this. May I use this as a reference for a mixed coloured pencil and pastel piece?

That's rather creepy coming out of the water like that. Love it.

This is a classic! Beautiful shot, great angle. I like that you took it so close to the water to show the depth. It also makes it somewhat whimsical, I think, in addition to the statue's expression.

Was this part of a tombstone or something else?
