I drew this back in 2008 and am just now uploading it. LOL It's based off an idea I had using the Art Novue (?) style. I thought it would be a cool idea to draw the Disney Princesses as Fairies. It's one of four I did for a local art show. I decided to make the wings a bit more special than just traditional fairy wings. Each princesses wings are based off a butterfly found in nature. Aurora's is based off the Caligo-Eurilochus butterfly [link] (Image found online. Credit goes to it's original owner and I lost the original link so, I have no idea who that is but I take no credit for photo at all) I normaly do not draw her in pink, but I felt it suited her as a fairy. I kept to the softer pink tones for this reason as well.

I also decied to have a little fun with the back ground and hid images from the movie into it. The two concepts may not work as well as I had hoped, but it may make someone smile.

Medium: Prisma Color colored pencils on Bristol board paper

Coments are always apreciated as I get so few anyway. It's hard to believe people really like your work well enough to fav it if they won't take the time to tell you why they like it.
