I'm pretty surprised by some of the comments above... I mean, I think Lily had a totally legit reason for breaking her friendship off with Severus. She made it pretty clear in the book that it wasn't just the Mudblood incident -- it was a whole slew of other things that had been going on for a period of time. Sorry, but racism and prejudice is just wrong and Lily's not at fault for NOT compromising her values.
I think this picture is brilliant. I feel compassion for both. Lily is clearly angry and hurt by what her best friend said, and it's obvious from Severus's pose that he is remorseful and desperate for her forgiveness. I love the way both are drawn: she is so curvy and he is so long-limbed and gangly. Great work!

To be fair, EVERYONE in that generation was fairly awful (okay maybe not Lupin so much). Lily just picked the one she thought was the type of awful she could tolerate... I may disagree but ehh, we all make our own choices.
