It was the last day of the two weeks Gerald was willing to be on the team, and he was watching as they used teamwork to beat the Trapster by trapping him in a tube and making a glue stick out of him. Iron Fist and White Tiger had healed remarkably quickly, and Nova only had a small cast on his left arm. Gerald was relieved because soon he would be free of them. He was also still peeved about Thundra kicking his Butt, however that was a issue for another time.

Later at the Helicarrier, Nick Fury had congratulated the five regular teammates for a good job. "To think my last day here is going to be boring" remarked Gerald. "Well if your looking for excitement then you can go with them on their first S.H.E.I.L.D sanctioned mission" replied Fury as the five heroes started cheering. "Good, as long as I don't have to listen to that loud mouth Jameson" said Gerald. The was a long silence before a large scream was heard.

"This Beetle better be as tough as Thundra was, I need the practice" said a seething Gerald as he and Spider-man's team were staking out the daily Beugal. "Please give me five minutes and he will be history" boasted Nova. "The guy who is one of S.H.E.I.L.D's top most wanted, who has never been caught, who put other criminals out on the street, and has ties to other top villains, will be beaten by you in five minutes. What world do you live on?" asked Gerald making Nova growl in frustration.

Spider-man's civilian cell phone went off and he had a quick conversation with his old friend Mary Jane Watson. "Mary Jane's got a internship interview with Jameson today of all days" shrieked Spidey. "Well make her change it" said Nova. "Ask her to change it" remarked Iron Fist. "Yeah use some of that Parker charm" added Ava almost enthusiastically. "Ha how often does a guy get permission from his girlfriend to charm another girl while flirting with him?" inquired Gerald laughing at the two heroes. "I-I was not giving him permission for anything" screamed White Tiger. "Well Aren't you the jealous one, Spidey really lucked out with you" said Gerald. Ava was flabbergasted and was at a loss for words, except for shrieking as she lunged at Gerald with Razor sharp claws.

Later at the top of the stair well Gerald stood guard his face completely covered in deep scratches. "Stupid Tiger, she gets her hide whooped in a real fight, but make fun of her love life and she's unstoppable, is this an anime or something, and how do I even know what that is?" asked Gerald to himself holding an ice pack to his face. Just then Mary Jane and Peter arrived. "Get lost" said Gerald. "Excu-"started M.J. "Get Lost" enunciated Gerald. "But you don-" M.J. tried to say. "What part of Get Lost don't you understand?" asked Gerald rudely. "Now leave before I make you regret it" Mary Jane calmly took a deep breath then screamed right into his ears.

"Why you snot nosed little" Gerald said throwing a punch at M.J. but she looped her purse around his arm, pulled him, stuck out her foot to trip him, and flipped him over the stair railing. "Puuuuuuuuuuuuunk!" Gerald screamed falling 70 flights of stairs getting bashed against the walls as he fell. "Whoa" Peter said dumbstruck. "I'm sure he will be fine" said M.J nonchalantly exiting the stairwell. But as Gerald was reaching the bottom one of the Beetles rockets was heading toward him. "You have got to be kidding me" he said flatly before be struck by the explosion.

Gerald came to minutes later all battered up and covered in bruises to the sounds of fighting. He dashed as fast as he could up the stairs until he was right underneath the fighting. Beetle had readied his dozens of weapons and rockets at the team. "Five's not enough" said a scared Nova. Then a hand broke through the floor, gripped Beetles ankle, and ripped him through it. Beetle fell to the ground, then picked himself up in time to see Gerald kick him in the head. Beetle stumbled back a little before being hit by and upper cut and was sent flying.

He hit the ground and rolled a little before stopping. When he got up he got a good look at Gerald's face. His teeth were clenching, his hair was standing on end, and his right eye was twitching. "Ooh, it looks like a few screws got knocked loose" commented Nova. "Better go in and help" said Power Man. Iron Fist leaped over the railing with his fist glowing and hit Beetle in the chest. "I have a plan" Spider-man said to Gerald. "You distract him and we will use operation glue stick" "I'm in" said Gerald happy to be kicking butt this time.

While the others secured a giant roll printing press paper, Gerald attacked Beetle with a flurry of kicks, but Beetle blocked and dodged them all. Beetle fire a few beams at Gerald but he ducked and jumped out of the way. The fight looked like a draw until white Tiger creeped up behind Beetle and clawed his jet-pack so he would not fly away. Then she and Gerald jumped back as Power Man slammed the giant paper roll on him. The team was about to start cheering but the roll started shaking. "I hate Jemeson" said Gerald as the roll blew up and shoved them all away and Beetle ran off to kill Jameson.

Beetle used his wist blaster to open the door. He locked on to the location of Jameson's voice through the smoke and prepared to shoot him. "No" yelled Spider-man as he webb yanked Beetle to make him miss. "Miss? I never miss" Said Beetle. Then Power Man hit him over the head knocking him out. "You talk too much" Power Man said ironically since that was the only thing Beetle said all day. The smoke cleared to reveal that Jameson was not even in the building, and he was using a two way t.v to talk to everyone. "A Television. He wasn't even here. We nearly die defending him, and he isn't even here" Gerald said calmly.

Jameson was blaming Spider-man for everything. M.j sick of the crap decided to cut him off by unplugging the T.V. "Look at that someone pulled the plug, thanks for saving me" she said then hugged Spider-man. "Um any time" replied Spider-man a little embarrassed. "Hey we are still on the clock" Said White Tiger. "I am not getting jealous" she snapped. "Gerald did not say anything yet" said Iron Fist. They all realized he wasn't reacting normally. He wasn't yelling or makeing fun of Spider-man and White Tiger.

They looked at him to see him walk over to the window. He opened it and stuck his head out. He then began screaming out side for 20 seconds. When he was done he turned to the other six. "This was my last day, I am out of here" he said then ran and jumped down the hole. Later on the helecarrier Fury had shut down Jameson's jumbo-trons to shut him up. "Good work on your mission, shame Gerald ran off" Said Fury. "Trust me my brother will be back soon enough" replied Sally. "Until then I want to go through your S.H.E.I.L.D training, I want to be a hero too" she added surprising everyone but earning a smile from Nick Fury.

"No" yelled Spider-man as he webb yanked Beetle to make him miss. "Miss? I never miss" Said Beetle. Then Power Man hit him over the head knocking him out. "You talk too much" Power Man said ironically since that was the only thing Beetle said all day. The smoke cleared to reveal that Jameson was not even in the building, and he was using a two way t.v to talk to everyone. "A Television. He wasn't even here.
