Description Junkers 52 transportation planes dropping German Paratroopers above a bombed airfield. The JU 52 was also called aunt JU because it had a long service in the luftwaffe. It was first a bomber but then transformed in transportation plane. They are accompanied by Stuka JU-87 dive bombers. This was a familiar image in the beginning of the war. German superiourity in the air and on the ground was the reason why they had so much succes.

For the battle of England the Germans first needed air supperiority before they could land but they never gained it. The RAF had it tough in the first stages of the war but they came through in the end and thank God for that.

Hope you like the picture I wanted to colour the sky in a sort of grey to but in the end I changed my mind because I didn't want to spoil the details of smoke and airplanes.

Looking at the shapes of the Ju-52, it's obvious why it's "aunt". It looks so bulky, like a WW1 plane.

for Junkers' details and atmosphere.

Which campaign have you drawn ? It reminds me German assault at Crete in 1941 due to Ju-87B ( with machineguns in wings)

The German assault on Crete was actually the first one where the fallschirmjagers jumped out of an airplane. I've drawn the invasion of Norway. They didn't jump out of the plane in that campaign but they did clear the path for the German Heer.

Thx for the fav my friend
