Description A random OC I came up with when I saw someone else drawing and tried to imitate their style but failed, then tried to turn it into my own…and this was the result
This was originally just a sketch, but I ended up liking the design do much that I did a whole character layout… I really like the way it turned out, though. Especially the sword It's pretty much my first time drawing any kind of armor cuz I always thought it would be too hard since it's intricate and metal and I'm not good with drawing shiny stuff… but whatever. I had to google a lot of pictures to figure out all the different parts of it.

Sorry for the messy writing, it's kind of hard to write with a mouse…

She doesn't have a story or a name yet, so if anyone has any ideas, feel free to tell me

I don't know if you wrote her profile yet but I decided to give my feedback just in case it might help. She looks like a girl whose mother wants her to be girly but she is really tomboyish and rebels against anything girly if she can. The dress design, with the sleeve ending in a ring, seems more fit for a princess than a normal girl. She probably had a father that didn't know how to relate to her as a girl so he fostered a love of boyish things like hunting or being a knight. Her father is probably proud of her physical prowess and desire to be more than just the doll her mother wants. If he was, that explains her being able to train as a knight, which she looks like with her armor. That being said, you need a name that is feminine, which the mother would love, but also a name that can be shortened to something more masculine. I suggest Shaina. It is feminine and means beautiful. Google it for the pronunciation. However, it can also be shortened to Shane, which is a boys name. I don't know if any of this helps or not but I just wanted to contribute since I am very good at coming up with background information for characters.

wow! thank you!
As a matter of fact, I hadn't really developed her any further, so this was very helpful

I think I intended her to be of a kind of noble line, hence the ring, fancy sword, etc. … I guess I could build on your idea and make it with the father being the main influence and wanting her to be boyish (possibly because he wants a son and doesn't have one?), with the mother fighting to keep her girly (but losing)…
Also, I feel like the parents shouldn't get along very well, so she wants personal strength and finds that in fighting and acting as a boy.
What do you think?

Thank you so much for your ideas!!!!

Awesome work! Hmm, as for a name...how about Giselle? She looks like a Giselle to me.

hmm…possibly, but I imagined her as a more tomboyish character, and Giselle seems a bit more girly…
thanks for the suggestion though
