So this is my first scanned piece for for her birthday request as a member of SASH plus and entry for her contest as well
So here is Queen Serenity, Ikuko Mama, and Neo Queen Serenity holding little baby Usagi. By far one of the most complicated pictures I've worked on in terms of number of characters - I wanted to show the family tree. The picture in the background is supposed to be the flowered fields of Crystal Tokyo - a little abstract.
And just as a note Queen Serenity and Ikuko ARE wearing clothes but you know that Serenity's dress is strapless and I wasn't going to put Ikuko Mama in her apron!! so I thought she'd be wearing something similar and strapless so that's why they both have bear shoulders.

Incidentally, I remember a fanfiction I read a long time ago, in which Queen Serenity had herself reincarnated into the form of Ikuko so she could watch over Serenity. I...can totally see that in this picture!

After viewing Man of Steel and this, my sick imagination is concocting a possible fanfic featuring a prologue set in the the Moon Kingdom, with a villain who declares "Do you think you're child is safe? I will find her. I WILL FIND HER!!!"

Lovely! The expressions are great, and it's wonderful to see art with Ikuko in it. She gets forgotten a lot of the time, but she loves her daughter so much!

Also, even though they aren't supposed to be naked, I think that it makes it look more natural and nurturing that they appear that way ^_^
